We were not presented with the menu and when we went to the table, after some waiting, there were only 2 dishes available, feijoada (desenxabida) and pork loin, all very weak. We paid for the pork loin €18, the price of the portion of veal in the oven!!!! and when asked they said the price was the same. No menu..... To be avoided.

We arrived on a cherry festival day.... abnormal movement of course... we arrived for lunch at 3.30 pm, there was almost nothing to eat... we ate what was available... we were very well attended to and they supported everyone the whims... exceptionally friendly people... given the fact that it was not a normal situation, it is not possible to evaluate much more but it will be repeated....

Happened to stop here purely by chance. What an amazing and traditional Portuguese place.
It's a family run business that has been around since 1974. Run by Luis and his siblings. It serves traditional home cooked Portuguese food. And it was all really good.
They only really do two dishes of the day: fish or meat. Being vegetarian we were worried all we could have would be salad. But Luis said he didn't want us to be hungry so brought potatoes, rice and beans, and a salad. We had the vegetable soup. And finished with a fruit salad.
Everything was very good. The portion sizes were so large we couldn't finish (no idea how people could eat the meat or fish as well!).
The entire bill came to €16. Yes, sixteen euros!
I've eaten at "better" places that don't have anywhere near as much passion and care for their customers. Genuinely touched by how they treated us.

Really fantastic! Ate here this afternoon. Waiter spoke pretty good English. Menu of the day. Soup, wine, water, main course, dessert and coffee for 20 euros. 10 pp Delicious food. Highly recommended on a beautiful terrace. Tomorrow again!
