Lack of quality and impersonal treatment, unless you are a foreigner.

The garlic caco bolo is very good.
I ate the house prego, very good.
Pleasant service
The terrace is a little less so with the road right in front but there is not too much traffic.
Parking: There is paid parking right next door but also the possibility of free parking on the street

Nice local place with atmosphere, we had morning coffee pastel de nata for early breakfast. Very nice service and staff.

Prices are quite cheap. Side dishes are fine. The meat portion is quite small in my opinion. Small and thinly sliced. But that probably explains the price. Waitress was friendly. Try to speak English. Our drinks take quite some time.

the worst espresso in Madeira so far.

A bit run down. Toilets smell very strong. Coffee wasn't tasty. Hamburger went in the trash.
Scam... We took 2 chicken skewers and 1/2 chicken, it was the same dish... but not the same price. (presented exactly the same way, same pieces…)
We pointed this out to the manager who told us that it was like that and that we had to pay the advertised prices.
The meal was good, but it’s impossible to keep a good memory when you get ripped off…
I advise against

Two of us ate this evening, pleasantly surprised by the quantities. In fact I took what is translated as "chicken skewers", in reality it is pieces of chicken marinated with herbs. It was really good. With a small plate of fries. Too bad the accompaniment is extra. The tomato soup is very good and so are the sweet potatoes.
Too bad the waitress is not very talkative (the language barrier may be). Regarding the atmosphere, we were the only ones in the room so it's not easy to assess it.

Tuna and cod in sets with vegetables and fries. French fries and vegetables were good and warm, but the fish was terrible. Cold, chopped into smaller pieces, they resembled fish salad more and tasted old. Personally, I don't recommend it.

The girls are lovely, super friendly and helped us choose the dishes. Everything was very cheap, with quantity and quality, everything was delicious and the service was phenomenal, 100% recommended.

Sorry to say that this was the worst meal I've had in many years. Would suggest only treating this as a cafe...

The worst... Once in Cascais, never again. The waitress is friendly, but the food is enough to cut your wrists.

In the cold indifference of this estaurant I sought merely to exchange a note for coins – a simple transaction. Yet, in this quest, I encountered a peculiar isolation, an absence of acknowledgement that bordered on the Kafkaesque. My request for change was denied, a circumstance I accepted and understood, but the ensuing silence was disconcerting.Persistence led me to purchase a pastel de nata, an act that finally shattered their reticence. But alas, the pastry itself was a metaphor for the experience: stale, dry, lacking the warmth one craves. In this eatery, even the simplest human exchange felt like navigating a labyrinth of indifference, culminating in a culinary anticlimax.I join my fellow raters and don't recommend this place.
