“A place where local people go, which we really liked. We made snails that reminded us of times gone by when it was a very common dish in our house. It's a simple, unpretentious place and you feel at home, and the food is very good. The service was very correct and friendly, the whole a wonderful experience.“

“It's mainly the locals who eat here, and less the tourists. Because you have to know where it is. However, if you love meat, you will find one of the best meat restaurants on the island. It is located on an agricultural facility, so actually right at the source... Most of the meat pieces are 300 grams in size and can be chosen in three different quality levels.
There are also various homemade sauces, for example inspirations with pepper or cheese.
The restaurant is very popular, you can either reserve directly or have yourself added to the list on site.
The portions are quite generous and the matching wines are also on offer. So, when you are in Sao Miguel, you should visit this restaurant if you love meat. (Fine tuna is also available)“

“Family dinner with the aim of eating the roasted octopus that my father and uncle loved. But we were too late and there was no more. We opted for snacks and what snacks. Wonderful octopus stew but what I liked most was the fried chicharros. I've never had ones so crispy and tasty! Coming back to repeat these snacks and the roasted octopus.“

“Homemade and local food, excellent value for money, meat and fish and very good, and the rice pudding was delicious, we went to eat there for two days, we also found a photo of one of the owners with Djokovic who was there last year . Highly recommended, also with parking right in front of the restaurant and it closes late, at 4:30 p.m., we did not reserve either time and we had a table immediately“
“It's a hole in the wall, but adorable. Pizza was good, but if you're an American, don't order sausage because it's Vienna sausage. The regional stake was great. It was sauteed with garlic and red pepper. The fries are just like any other fries in this country, thin, crispy, and generally good. The salad was good but not amazing. Everything was very well priced, so you're not breaking the bank. Service was very nice, and attentive, and seemingly multilingual. She spoke different languages different customers. That's what I love about this country, you could be from anywhere, and they still can communicate with you. There is no parking for the restaurant, but there's plenty of parking around it.“

“Arrived in Ribeira Grande yesterday and quickly found something very good for dinner. It is superbly decorated in the Azores style. The food (fish) was very tasty. It's a fish restaurant, but it doesn't smell like fish at all, which is a very good sign of quality. The house is very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The wine recommendation was also very appropriate. And by the way, you pay humane prices for the wine and not five times as much as in Germany.“

“Super-recommended. We took the daily fish assortment, very good quality and large portions. The fish soup is also very tasty.
Very decent prices for the quality of the product. Terrace with sea views is also very pleasant (the sunset looks perfect).
Reservation recommended.“

“Visiting the island and after a long day of exploring, stopped at the grocery store but were too tired to cook. We lucked out and chose to go to Boteco do Miguel. The owner was very friendly and spoke English very well. The pizza was very good, certainly the best we have had for years. We were going to take it to go, but decided to eat in, which was a good decision. It was excellent fresh from the oven. We will make it a priority to go back before we leave to go home. The free parking lot across the street (enter from the back) made it super easy to stop and eat.
Parking: Free parking lot right across the street in a lot you enter off a side street.“
