“I liked. I will come back. But I will avoid the Esplanada. There are a lot of scoundrels out there smoking cigarettes and disturbing the conversation of those who frequent the terrace. And honestly, I'm there to relax with friends, not to fight. But for the rest, I liked everything.“

“I usually go to this restaurant, everything is acceptable except the following:
There have been at least 3 times that the invoice has been wrong, and always with excess products consumed. Once it was still ok, it could be a mistake, but today I suspected it could be intentional. This is based on the employee's response. Just be careful to check before paying.“

“Good afternoon Mr. Rui is lucky to have a Miguel and another taller boy there who are 100% attentive, friendly and human because of that, there isn't much left without undoing the entire team of cooks and assistants, but as I say, the great Miguel seems like the The team's goalkeeper handles all the activity in the restaurant well, but the other guy deserved a bonus.“

“I can't give it 5 stars because the service left a little to be desired, we rushed as soon as we arrived to order because they closed at 3:00 p.m. (but they accept a reservation at 2:30 p.m.)… Otherwise everything was good, good cuisine (the fish and very delicious grilled octopus) and reasonable price.“

“I had a simply stunning lunch, starting with the service which was excellent, the chef's touch of refinement in the presentation of the starters and desserts was divine.
Everything was very good, from the preparation to the perfect combinations of ingredients.
A really top lunch in every aspect.“

“The food was good, the plates were quite filling, the prices were consistent with what was served and the location and the attentive and friendly staff but I want to make special mention that a client came with his dog and as soon as he sat down they immediately gave him water and even gave him water. They gave a prize. They were attentive and loving even with the dog and for me it is something super important. The place is spacious and has a terrace but it fills up quickly.
Parking: It's crazy to take the car to Sintra
Wheelchair accessibility: Sintra itself is a place that is not very accessible due to the number of slopes you encounter along the way.“

“It is the best place to eat and dine in Sintra. Traditional and homemade food. Professional, attentive and close service. The price is affordable and they make you feel at home. Without a doubt if we return to Sintra we will repeat for sure.“

“A quality restaurant. Excellent service. Product quality. A magnificent kitchen. A most pleasant atmosphere. Beautiful dining room and very nice terrace. 20 years of customers, every time we are in Cascais we eat there at least once. The price depends on what is requested. It can be very reasonable. And if the price is not the problem (it will never be exaggerated, Cascais is not Cannes) you will surely get it right.“

“Absolutely lovely authentic Portuguese food. We had the oxtail, the turbot, and the mushroom rice. Also the starters were amazing including the dried Tuna salad and the squid. Super attentive service by Alex, they were fully booked but then accommodated us. Highly recommended and cannot wait to go again“

“The service is very friendly, and the food is very quick.
I ordered the Vegan Francesinha and loved it. It comes well served and is very good, the best I've ever eaten. I think the fries could be crispier and saltier. I also ordered Sweet Potato Mashed as an extra, but I didn't love it, I thought the orange flavor was too much.
For dessert, I've tried the Serradura with Lime Zest, which was very good, and served well, and the Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel, which is also very tasty.
I loved!
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options.
Parking: The restaurant is on the side of the road, it is not very easy to find parking.“

“Wow! Finally found this spot after searching for a non-touristy place to eat and am so happy I waited til I found it! Service is incredible, the food was delicious, the area outside is wonderful to sit, and it seems like a very authentic place. Def recommended!“
“Fantastic experience , both for vegetarian and non -vegetarian people , having a full course vegetarian on the level of “haute-cousine” is pretty rare for a “set menu” kind of places. Exquisite experience , we were the only once in the room , and that was also a magnificent experience to watch the team cooking (doing their magic?) at the open kitchen. Would recommend bering seated with a view for a kitchen. That’s a theater !
Vegetarian options: As I am vegetarian and my date is not, took a whole veg option , while he enjoyed a “normal” meal. We were both happy!
Parking: Parking among other residents .. not really free at dinner time but still possible to find a spot . Give yourself extra 10 min and you’ll be fine“

There was a wait here too, but it was gone quickly.
It was nice to be guided so kindly.

“Great little place. So glad we stopped by after long day of walking in Sintra. Everything on the main square was so busy and we just wanted to be able to get away a little from it. Walked up the stairs a found this gem
Food was delicious. Tuna steak and octopus dinner both grilled to perfection.
If you are in Sintra , stop by.“

“The Portuguese steak, Vitoque, is really delicious. It has a subtle garlic flavor, so it seems to suit Korean tastes well. The owner is friendly and the price is not that expensive. I liked the local atmosphere. It's located not far from the Jerónimos Monastery, so it's perfect to have lunch here and then go to Pasteis de Belem for a second cup of espresso and an egg tart.“

“A nice restaurant with friendly enough staff. We had a little hiccup with the appetisers so the staff acted a little less friendly to us…
The food was delicious, we ordered picanha with beans, rice, chips and salad. Also a big sparking sangria.“

“This is the second time we have been to this restaurant because it is in a great location in the Colares area. The lamb is undoubtedly one of the stars of the restaurant and was very good but what really surprised me was the Duck with Orange which was simply divine, very well seasoned and accompanied by delicious rice. I highly recommend it, the starters were also very good and the portions are fair for the prices charged.“

Showcase of spectacular fish, best of all the fish was very fresh and very well cooked.
Dª São was very friendly with us, always very careful, to know if everything was ok and if we needed anything else, everything, the staff is 5 stars.
I really, really recommend it.“

“Service was super friendly and quick. Tuna ceviche was life changing - completely converted. Cod Timbale was tasty but very rich. Octopus Rice was OUTSTANDING. Could not put our forks down. Was so flavourful, and the octopus was so tender and not fishy at all. House white wine was very nice.
Such a cozy, authentic restaurant - off the beaten path. Would 10/10 recommend.“

“Very, very delicious food and generous dishes. I ate the piece of beef and it was very good. I only have one drawback, and that is that they give you without asking an appetizer that consists of cheese, bread, olives, and ham and they charge you almost €10 for it. Why are you charging me for something I don't want and haven't asked for?…those things bother me a lot“

“This is really a hidden gem, not easy to get there, but it was completely booked, and one can understand why! The place has outstanding seafood, totally fresh and amazing wine to pair the food with. For starters we had some really nice cheese from Alentejo with really good bread; and we ordered some clams as well. The clams were fresh and amazingly cooked. For the main course we had grilled sea bream that was cooked to perfection, with sauteed vegetables. We ended on an amazing note with a delicious lemon meringue pie with a delicious tawny Port. The service was excellent, the only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because the dishes took too long to come to the table. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. It is definitely worth going there.“

“Homemade food. Very affordable daily dishes. Soup of the day, dish, dessert and drink approximately 12 euros per person. Restaurant with different decor with antique crockery.
We ordered some broken eggs as a starter.
The dish of the day, soup and cod with cornbread.
For dessert, a salted caramel mousse (you can share it, because it's quite sweet, but super greedy)
Parking: Private parking on site, free of charge.“

“Near Tagus Parque, in the S. Marcos urbanization, this restaurant was a good surprise. I, who am more of a fish person (due to several disappointments), was very satisfied with the beautiful Mirandese steak. What delicious and tender meat! As for dessert, the farófia dish was served generously and was delicious. The price won't be enough to make a daily meal, but it seemed adequate given the quality. The service was prompt and friendly. Parking is not bad. Tip: to better find the restaurant, it is (almost) opposite the S. Marcos secondary street.“

“Despite being further from the river, it makes up for it with the quality of the cuisine and service. Special attention to the fish, with emphasis on the fried or stewed eels, the latter irreproachable on the palate, or the fried shad with shad roe stew, not forgetting the starters, with some fried cuttlefish roe and little bitches full of knowledge. The wine options are excellent and varied, at attractive prices. Attention and cordiality in service make this old tavern, restored by the son of the original owner, a pleasant place for diners.“

“We booked here for our anniversary, it was an exceptional experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the elegant and contemporary decor set the stage for an exceptional evening. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we felt pampered throughout our visit.

Each course was meticulously crafted, presenting a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that delighted the palate. The presentation of every dish was a work of art, making the dining experience as visually stunning as it was delicious.

“For those who are in Sintra and want to have lunch in a typical restaurant with homemade food and family service, Solar Saloio is the recommended choice. To start, there was Mafra Bread, tasty Olives and a Dry Cheese. For main I ordered the Stewed Veal with French Fries and Rice. The meat was from the Aba area and as such it was a tasty and tender meat that fell apart with each bite, it was accompanied by good rice and homemade French fries, it also came with a well served mixed salad. I accompanied the meal with a great House Red Wine and finished with a Homemade Serradura. Friendly, familiar service and prices around €15 per person. I recommend!“

“An incredible place to have a snack.
There is always a wide variety of snacks that are very out of the box.
In addition to the photos, the pica pau and the kebab are worth highlighting.
The owners are always very approachable but it is the type of restaurant that you have to book well in advance, as the turnout is large!“

“There are a few items on the menu marked as vegetarian that are actually all vegan. The little pastries which are typically Portuguese are delicious- the veggie one is filled with quinoa and vegetables. You can have them as a starter or main course served with tomato rice (Portuguese typical side dish). I also recommend the fava bean salad and the turnip greens which are sauteed in garlic and oil (also typically Portuguese). Everything me and my family (not vegan) ate was incredibly good. Great service. Definitely recommend.“
