We have been here many times last year on vacation, for lunch and food fantastic. Back in Azores again and stopped in for lunch and we were told they no longer serve food. They are a bar only now. What a disappointment as this was one of our favourite lunch spots
We came across this bar and it looked inviting. Love the way it is set out - TVs watching football- locals and tourists in the bar enjoying the experience. Reasonable prices on food and drinks - a steak and chips plus a salmon sandwich and chips, with 2 glasses of wine was €28. The food wad tasy and quick.
Excellent value and delicious food! We were trying to get into Tasca, but gave up on waiting outside to be seated. Many restaurants are closed on Mondays apparently because we saw many with closed signs as we walked around. We came across this welcoming casual restaurant/pub. It’s located next to Alcides - a restaurant with excellent reviews, but definitely a menu with less universal appeal - true to traditional Azorean cooking. This casual restaurant/pub/sports bar has an inviting and lively feel to it and probably gets loud during major sporting events. We ordered two large beers, specialty burger with fries, basket of bread and amazing seafood pasta - all for 21 Euros. The Anjos burger (6.50 Euros) has honey, walnuts and fresh white cheese on it and it was delicious! The seafood pasta for 8 Euros was a perfect lunch portion with more seafood than pasta! It consisted of shrimp, many baby clams, and a few bigger clams (or mussels?). The seafood sauce was perfect for dipping the bread. Service was fast and friendly! The clientele was a mix of locals and tourists. The ceiling was decorated with flags from around the world. The music playing in the background was an eclectic mix of rock.
Arrived at this wonderful island yesterday. Tried looking up great places to eat here, and saw dos anjos had great scores. This could not be further from the truth. First off probably the worst service ever experienced. Arrogance at another level from the female server. Food was awful. Appetizer and main course came at the same time, and equally awful. The meat tasted and smelled hidious. Would not recomend anyone to visit this place.
We found this place by chance as too many tourists where in P.Delgada's famous restaurants queing for a table. We wouldn't have chosen this place in our country as it seemed as a football bar with tv screens playing football matches and we aren't fans. We found ourselves ending almost every night there, with very good food, drinks and good music(after the football matches, though),friendly service and a mix of locals and tourists .Prices in the very low side for the quality of food. We highly recommend this place.
Great food …….. huge portion! But just what I needed after a day’s hiking. Service was good and no long wait for the food. Nice atmosphere. Recommended
Very nice Café - restaurant! Looks like Peter's Sportcafé at Faijal (Azores) in Horta ? with Flags from all over the World ??????????????? And a bone from a Spermwhale ? and... I loved the Fishsoup and the pasta with Seafood! ????❤️
Saw some reviews online and decided to give it a try. We got there and waited at the door like idiots for the waiter to come and seat us. Once seated, we ordered our wings and other foods and they all came out at the same time as apposed to the starters coming first. Then we ordered more wings at half time. By the time those came we noticed they had cut us short 10 wings. When we brought this to the waiters attention she said the chef didn't have anymore, but they didn't bother coming to tell us. Had we not noticed, they would have charged us. Also there was this one heavy set guy behind the bar who was absolutely lazy and miserable. The other girls working there where pretty much working alone. All he wanted to do was chat outside with people. First and last time we go come here. P.S (Cais 20 )has way better food and service if you need a recommendation.
We arrived around nine. Qe asked for some chicken wings. One hour and a half they arrived..., maybe it is a secret receipt that has to be fried during more than an hour. The waiters were not even looking at us...
We ate a traditional steak with fries and sea pasta. Everything was delicious. Really recommend it to everyone who likes good food.

So went to eat with my girlfriend here since most places were full. Ended up not regretting a thing. Prices are amazing for the food and portions you get. For under 25 euros we got double starters and 2 amazing huge burgers which were worth every cent. All the waiters were super nice and the ambience is top notch. Would recommend to any locals who haven't gone there yet and to every tourist passing by.
