A small but very good tavern with a view of the salt fields. From the service to the food, everything was perfect. She definitely deserves more than 5 stars. The chorizo with cinnamon and honey is particularly recommended. All the other dishes taste great and are prepared with a lot of love and skill. Unfortunately it started to rain heavily and the waitress rushed to our aid and offered us a place inside. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely visit the tavern again. A recommendation for all people who love Portuguese tapas.

The food is fantastic. The toasts are really recommended. They are NOT cheap slices of toast from the supermarket! There are two really thick slices of bread (from the baker) with a really tasty filling that are placed on top of each other. The discs are huge and about 30 centimeters long! We had the toast with tuna, tomato, cheese, herbs, olive oil and olives.

A very nice typical place! The friendliness of the employee who served us, the shade, the views, the flavor of the dishes served made this a highly recommendable place!We ordered farinheira with honey and cinnamon, scrambled eggs with farinheira, steaks and fries. Everything perfect. The contrast of honey with egg and farinheira was the best surprise!

While enjoying the wonderful view on the Salinas, you can eat a Bifana de Salineiro (=superhamburger) or an authentic tosta mista or many other treats in combination with a cold beer or soda and even some nice cocktails. Don't forget to visit the small shops and check out their ingenious wooden keys ?

I have already visited the salt flats of Rio Maior several times, today I went to eat at the salineiro tavern, I really enjoyed it.The lady was very attentive, suggested some fries that were delicious, the toasts are wonderful and the vegetable soup very good!!The location is fantastic!
