Mediocre service. We were waiting for a table for about 25 minutes without a word. When we finally got a table, we waited another 45 minutes for the food. It arrived, it was good. Traditional food. However, everything about the space is typical traditional '90s.Old space, old and broken tableware and stained cutlery.I ate, I don't regret it but I don't intend to repeat it either.
The place is a sort of bar/resto/cafe. Terrace is nice with a nice view to the river.The food was really nice. We had really nice beef that was nicely marinated in garlic and then grilled. Along with the beef rice, patato chips and some veggies were served. We also ordered an extra salad. We had vino verde, coffee and icecream and for 5 people (3 adults 2 kids) we paid around 70€. My partner and I visited Meandro Resturant during our stay in Rio Mau in May 2023. The location is superb, with stunning views of the Duoro River As you would expect, the menu is in Portuguese. However, I used google translate to translate the menu, which worked well. We ordered two different steak dishes and some drinks. The food arrived and, my goodness, it was delicious! Both steak dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! So much so, that we returned the next day...
