Very homemade food, very beautiful to look at and delicious! It's the 4th time we've come in 2 years. Cozy place, advisable to book before coming. The kitchen is small so they take time to serve, but it is worth the wait.

Two hours waiting for the dishes, food with a pompous name, but far below expectations. A bad experience.

We will definitely be back! We ate some eggs with alheira as a starter. The eggs were at the ideal point (not overcooked) and the sausage had crispy pieces! Delicious:)
The main dishes followed: Cheeks of the Day that were literally melting they were so soft and the Lagartos with Alentejo crumbs and some equally delicious vegetables.
The end was a freshly burnt Milk Cream which was good (but not extraordinary)
It is recommended to book, especially if you come in the summer!!

We ate some fantastic broken eggs with a glass of wonderful red wine to the sound of Cesaria Évora. The desserts have no words to describe. (prisco pudding and mousse)
The service was 5 stars. Repeating.
Vegetarian options: There are some dishes available. Vegetarian broken eggs are fantastic

They deserve more than 5 Stars!
I called to reserve a table and André's friendliness begins on the phone and is evident when we have contact in person. Attentive and genuinely friendly.
Everything we tried was simply wonderful, always causing a feast of tastes and colors, presenting typical dishes from the region but with the refinement and imagination worthy of a Michelin Star restaurant. I repeat… wonderful food.
The visit to the table of Ana “Chief Artist” who together with her mother provides us with this feast of flavors, came to meet us and make sure everything was ok.
It's worth a detour, even if it's a long one, just to get to know this relic of a restaurant and people.
Thank you for providing one of my best meals!

A great discovery. The ceviche is to die for, the sangria a delight and the dish nothing to say. You really have to get lost in Sao Louis and end up in this restaurant.

The restaurant was recommended to me by the accommodation where I spent a few days. I read the reviews and they were all positive.
But the truth is that I was very disappointed! As soon as I walked through the door, it took me a while to be attended to. And when the employee approached me, she was quite arrogant and dry, treating me as you, when in fact she didn't know me. Always asking with a bad face if I had a reservation. My answer was no. To which she said we don't have and won't have any vacancies.
I didn't find the way I was treated professional at all because I could have been nice enough to say the same thing and I could have suggested taking a card from the restaurant and making an appointment for the next day.
In a quick look at the tables I was able to see that all the tables occupied were foreigners. Which leads me to believe that as soon as they realized that we were Portuguese, they didn't care that we were there
Excellent restaurant, exceptional food (the tomato soup is unforgettable). Great quality/price ratio. Experience to repeat!

The food was incredibly delicious, although the service was exceedingly slow, which is understandable given the exceptional freshness of everything; the atmosphere was wonderful.

Honest food, reasonable prices, great ingredients, large portions, kind service and comfortable decor with a colorful outdoors. What more could one ask for?
The cooking itself is competent and straightforward. I had the creamy codfish “bacalhau com natas”, which was the daily special, and the lamb chops. The ceviche was a great way to get the appetite going - sweet and sour, heavy on the fruit, lighter on the fish.
The place was reasonably full, but could still accommodate our same-day reservation in July.
It is in the peaceful town of “Sao Luís”. I am coming back to this place whenever I’m in the region.
