My friends and I walked in at around 15:30 struggling to find food in the quaint village of Santo Teotónio. With desperation on our faces and growling sounds coming from our stomachs, we asked the lady behind the counter if we could eat in her restaurant. The sweet angel replied: “nobody leaves this establishment without having eaten something. It doesn’t matter the time of day, a meal will be made for a hungry individual.” We rejoiced, our hearts being once again full of hope. As I took my seat, my eyes wandered to the wall where I noticed signs that said *menu of the day*. “We’ll take four of those, please” “Right away!” she said. As the plates came, our jaws dropped. Never had I seen plates of this stature in the great country of Portugal. On the plates laid what resembled a tricolor mountain range, taller and vaster than the Alps: hills of pork stew, rice, and french fries - enough food to feed 100 soldiers. You may say: quantity is one thing, but quality is another. One indicator - no words were uttered for the duration of the meal. Needless to say, we walked in four starving boys, and walked out four distinguished and satisfied gentlemen.
Thank you very much for your hospitality and kindness. If we ever find ourselves in your beautiful town again, there will be no hesitation where our meal is taking place.

Small bar restaurant, which also offers a varied breakfast, but unfortunately there was no jam when I visited there. You can also sit outside comfortably as the restaurant is on a quiet side street. The prices are very cheap. You practically only meet locals there.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes such as fruit, vegetables or various processed eggs can easily be ordered. There are also matching drinks, such as delicious freshly squeezed orange juice.
Dietary restrictions: Avoiding certain ingredients can easily be discussed with the staff.
Parking: The restaurant is on a side street where there are two parking spaces. There are always free parking spaces relatively nearby on the larger street that runs past it. Since the restaurant usually has few guests, parking spaces are easy to find.
Kid-friendliness: Since the restaurant is essentially a bar, children are not the target audience.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are some outdoor spaces that can also accommodate a wheelchair.
