“The best barbecue chicken we've ever had! The flavor is natural, as it is seasoned with lemon. It only works to order, which in itself is a guarantee of higher quality. We generally eat chicken without additional sauces. It's a shame it's only open on weekends, but the owners have the right to decide when and how they manage its availability. (It would probably not even be profitable to be open on other days of the week)

We have never experienced such wonderfully authentic Indian food before - the flavours were on a different level.

It is so far removed from the commercial, stodgy “Indian” food we remember back in the UK - this is so very different - a true flavour of the Punjab - made with love and served by kind hearts.

There was a very warm welcome at the door, a thoughtful explanation of all the dishes ( including the Punjabi origins, the ingredients/spices, the recommended combinations, the wines etc ) and excellent service throughout the meal - it really was quite memorable.

The starters of the Onion Bhaji and Gol Gappa Chaat were truly outstanding and set our expectations for the mains. We were not disappointed! The layers of flavour in the Honey Cauliflower and Butter Chicken were amazing - all washed down with a few glasses of chilled Alentejo wine.

It was very popular and reasonably priced. We had two pastries, a cheese sandwich, and two coffee items for 6.5 euros. Lots of families and a great outdoor area.”

For the dishes I was able to try the pork ramen (the presentation and taste were top notch), I have rarely been able to eat one this good.
The sushi/makis (fusion) were the best I've tried in Portugal (in the few Japanese restaurants I've been able to try), including the all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant in Calas da Rainha which didn't convince me.

Tried some of the vegan banoffee pie which was such a good treat, and my family all had dishes such as the filo Pastry, sautéed leeks and bean stew, as well as the vegan apple crumble and meringue pie. Everything was so well thought out and prepared, as a vegetarian family this was such a great treat and enjoyed our meal here thoroughly.”

“I have been a long time fan of Novo Sabor. Everyday the menu changes and the selections have really improved since it's been under new management. It's a Take-Away establishment and it helps in the busy summer season to call the order in before the pick up. The people working are friendly and helpful even during the rush time. Recently added is the picnic tables outside which is really nice. This is where I ate my yummy California Hamburger with fries. I was told they do local delivery but I haven't tried it yet. Everything is super clean in and out and the prices are very fair.”
