If you are not Portuguese, this will be an experience not to miss! Ti eat at a Portuguese seafood traditional restaurant, around 7pm, on a hot summer's day! If you are Portuguese, I highly recommend this \\\"marisqueira\\\" restaurant, and their fantasticly fun and good humoured staff!!! In my recent visit, I confess I never ate anything from their menu. I was travelling alone and I stopped for a Coca-cola and a bottle of cold water because I was getting a bit tired while driving... The place was full of men who clearly had finished their workday, some having beers, others drinking some of the fantastic white wines of Portugal, or the also very Portuguese Traditional \\\"Vinho Verde\\\" (\\u003d translation: Green Wine), which is a wine with natural gas, also called wine with \\\"petillance\\\" (a french word to describe the wine natural small air bubbles!). Vinho Verde is usually what Portuguese people prefer to drink when they order seafood!!! \\\"A Torre\\\" has a pleasant traditional sitting long counter with tall stools, and most of the Male clients were sitting in this area. It is great if youbtravel alone, because you stop to have lunch or dinner and end up striking conversarionsnwith other Clients, or with the staff behind thebcounter, and you dont feel awkward sitting alone to eat alone in a table! Families, or couples, tend to sit at the tables nearby! I decided to write about \\\"A Torre\\\" to compliment its well humoured staff, who served me! As I did not stop to eat, I was a bit embarrassed to order just a Coca-cola and a cold water to take with me on the long travel. I still had to drive alone for many km before arriving at my destination! The staff were just very pleasant, politely joking with me, and inviting me to have my coca-cola sitting at a table, instead of drinking it standing near the counter, as I was about to do! I was so well impressed with the seafood I saw being served around me, that I will certainly take my (British) husband there, on my next trip that will take me to that area, and - for sure - I won't miss the opportunity to have a nice selection of seafood with a good Vinho Verde! Wish all the staff all the best, and I hope my comments here encourage other tourists or Portuguese residents to visit \\\"A Torre\\\"! Another advantage is that you will always have safe - free of charge - parking!!! And a lovely pastry shop next door, to buy some very traditional sweet egg pies to take with you on your travels!

We enjoyed the recommendation of the waiter. He was very accommodating. The restaurant gets very busy so it is advisable to make a reservation.

Definitely the best Marisqueira (seafood) in the beautiful Ribatejo region! Great meat as well, plus the service is something to remember!

Very welcoming waiter but he brought an unwanted appetizer much more expensive than our main course.
