The best restaurant we went to this week we spent in Douro (we came more than once). Super welcoming place with homemade and honest food. Mr. Joaquim made us want to come back with his kindness and care in the treatment. We also had the opportunity to meet Dona Custódia, the chef in the kitchen who, in addition to being a great cook, always brings a smile on her face.
We will definitely come back and refer the site to all our friends.

Traditional Portuguese dishes (lots of meat), which were all delicious as was the house wine and dessert! In addition, super inexpensive.

After a search on Google Maps we discovered this lost gem.
The space is very small, especially now that the weather is colder and therefore there is no open terrace. There were people who didn't eat because they didn't have a reservation.
Everything we ate was wonderful. The pica pau, the cod salad and the vine d'alhos. Cream milk too. The house green wine was also magnificent.
The price is not too expensive, considering that we opted for the snack.
I highly recommend it.

A nice little restaurant where we stopped for lunch.
We had poultry gizzards as a starter which were very good and tender.
Then we had the famous “Francesinhas” which were well served and with a good sauce!
The gentleman at the service is very friendly and came to bring us extra hot sauce without even being asked, top notch!
In terms of quality and price, we have a very good ratio!
Parking: Two parking lots are available next door.
