Good Morning, I had a pleasure of visiting this lovely little cafe while flying out of Madeira airport. I really wanted to get a starbie, however the staff was incompetent enough for me to have to look for my caffeine boost somewhere else , and I am glad I could stop by. I had a wee iced coffee, which the waiter kindly offered to make , even though they do not have it on the menu ! Such a lovely start to my morning! ?

Steak burger was made warm before serving. Cappuccino was nicely presented. A not too bad place to have a quick breakfast before boarding.

€4.80 for a dry roll with two loveless slices of cheese and strange ham. By far the worst sandwich ever. No spread, nothing. What you can still eat are the filled cheese rolls.
If you want water, I can recommend the water dispenser downstairs between gates 9 and 10, directly to the left of the escalator near the toilets. Simply take the empty bottle with you through security.

I don’t suppose airport cafes often get a review but I thought the team at Buondi in Funchal airport deserved some credit. Very efficient with lots of sandwiches and snacks to choose from plus a full bar. A big queue doesn’t phase them and they work through it very quickly. They are also multi lingual! Quality of food very good too.
