Tried the Pastel de Nata many times before: in Portugal, Macau, HK, and never liked it. Until this one - it’s a different level of this pastry! Never thought it could taste like this. Go to Sta Cruz just to try it!! The service is amazing too!! Love everything about this place, thank you!?

A popular cafe. Both locals and tourists come here all the time. You order by pointing at the man in charge of ordering in broken English, the man tells the cashier, and the cashier tells you the price. All the staff were very kind.
On the first day, I had an espresso in the store and a cheese tart to take home. The tart was not too sweet and the dough was crispy and very delicious. On the second day, I took home an egg tart and an apple pie. Both were very delicious. The egg tart is very sweet (very delicious) On the third day, I had a cafe Americano. calm down. I took home a croissant and passion fruit pie. The croissant has a slightly firm and heavy texture. Many people had sandwiches. The passion fruit pie was refreshing and very delicious. Approximately 2-3 euros for coffee and bread.
If you are staying in Santa Cruz on Madeira Island, this is a restaurant you should visit at least once.
