After trying this family-run restaurant and being very happy with everything we ordered, we have returned to Gaivota several times. We are never disappointed. The grilled fish (golden bream, see bass and so on) is always perfectly cooked. My husband had fried squid recently and thought it was fabulous. He also praised the mixed grill. The desserts are excellent! The waitress is friendly and attentive and has a great sense of humour. Just a note: If you want to have a cataplana, you have to order it the day before. Ours was delicious!

First visit to this restaurant and last very disappointed, with the too dry grilled polvo dish accompanied by 3 potatoes and a not very fresh salad, and the icing on the cake, no credit card, we had to withdraw cash from the distributor. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures.

Delicious. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is excellent. Fish, octopus, octopus rice, it was really very very good. The wine too. We came randomly and it was a nice surprise. Very friendly staff as well.

Restaurant to be avoided. We asked for octopus and there wasn't any with the excuse that they don't have any fish ( ??? ), we asked for ice tea they only served it by the glass (from a 1.5 l bottle), we asked for JMF white wine, they didn't have it. We ordered a Borba they wanted to serve a JP saying it was similar !!! They brought the already open wine to the table... !!! What to say more? The food... we ate!!!

The place doesn't look extraordinary, but the food is very good: for €15 you have a lunch menu with fresh fish, very tasty (we ordered sea bass). The waitress is charming and the views from the terrace are very beautiful.

My date got the tuna steak which was very yummy, in fairness \\u0026 so was the couvert cured cheese… I got the grilled octopus with garlic… it was simply inedible… not even rubbery but absolutely rock hard \\u0026 with a very thick layer of fat under each tentacle… so chewy \\u0026 horrible flavour… I tried several mouthfuls to be sure it wasn’t nice \\u0026 spat each one into my napkin. Will not repeat.

First attempt to visit this restaurant at 20:20h they tell us that they only accept more tables when all the ones that were there (5 tables) have been served!
