This is a place you must stop by to grill your own ESPATADA!! This is a 3-step experience. 1st talk to the owner who is in the "Talho", the meat shop. Order your meat, 500 grs are recommended for 2 people. You can also get small sausages. On the right side, a shop, order "meio pao" half of bread, and drinks. A local drink is Larangada, a mix of red wine with a local soda. It tastes similar to a Sangria in Spain. The meat you order will be put on a stick. Then, you will sprinkle the meat with salt and move it to the oven to grill your Espatada. The place is very simple, this is not a restaurant, you are responsible for doing the grill work. Most people come for lunch, so coming at night it is a good idea. The place is open until 10 pm. Meat is tender and tasty because they buy meat from The Azores.
