Maybe we came on a bad day, but this was a disappointing case. They only had beer or sparkling water to drink (possibly heaven for some). The menu was really extensive, but they were empty for the most part. We ordered hamburger with fries, garlic bread and fries. The former was two patties, fries and salad. The chops were ok, the others not edible. The garlic bread looked like old bread and the fries were chewy, and not good at all. We paid and left - hope others are luckier than us!

Very bad! The gentleman who was serving seemed like he was doing us a favor, super unfriendly, without any empathy for the customers. He rolled his eyes several times, showing complete disregard for his customers. When the request was made, there was nothing like what was in the letter, and it didn't even suggest alternatives, it simply said "there isn't". Furthermore, the baby seat was in such a terrible state of cleanliness that it would be unthinkable to place a baby in a seat like that! When we decided to leave, due to your arrogance, you left and didn't even try to reverse the situation. With employees like these, unfortunately these spaces tend to become increasingly empty.

The service was good. It would be a 4?, if the prices weren't, in my opinion, so high given the quality and location.€37, 2 people, 2 dishes of the day, 2 drinks, 1 garlic bread and 1 bica.

I tell myself it's probably about something else.Once back we ask if we can have dinner although it is 5:30 p.m., at the same time, the mist has invaded this small village and there is nothing to see or do there if you are not a golfer !Here again he shakes his head after having installed us.He comes back with his card, and takes the order, we tell him that first we are going to drink a little Madeira wine so as not to eat like chickens.This too irritates him and it's not easy to explain to him because English is not his strong point!After having served us our two glasses he wanted to take our order again except that in the meantime, alerted by his behavior worthy of a 4 year old boy, we started reading the reviews on Google.....and thank you 'elsewhere! It saved us from leaving 30 euros and food poisoning!So here he comes back with his order book and we tell him again that first we're going to have our drinks and then, hold on, the guy leaves, stomping his feet and moaning in Portuguese out loud.Even though I don't speak Portuguese, this mediocre waiter obviously didn't want us to be there in his empty restaurant.I explain to him via Google translation the situation and my feelings, then he breaks down and tells me no no no.... Catering can be learned, politeness too!After leaving 5 euros for his two micro glasses of Madeira we went back down to Santa Cruz to see nice people like we had met so far in Madeira!
