I went there to see a miniatures exhibition and ended up having lunch. Excellent. From very friendly service to the meal! A "simple" bitoque with top-notch meat, pala pala potatoes, made to order and a perfectly cooked chicken! ...not to mention the pudding, excellent! Quite honestly, it's worth the trip for anyone nearby. A very acceptable value for a non-touristy Algarve.

The entrance has a small bar, then you enter a large room with many locals. Behind it is another room. It looks cozy. We had a nice meal there, but the price was ultimately disappointing. Unsolicited bread, butter and olives were placed on the table: costs €3.- We ordered 1 glass of red wine and 1 glass of white wine. Apparently that wasn't possible, because we each got a carafe: cost €10.- (We drank less than a third of it.) The food was good, but way too much. And why were so many chips added??? In the end the bill was €38.60 for 2 persons. That's excessively high for a small village restaurant! Very friendly service.
Typisch Portugees restaurant, ver weg van de toeristische zaken. Wij zoeken altijd deze eetgelegenheden op voor de sfeer en zeker ook het lekker eten. Op vrijdag varken aan het spit, all you can eat aan spotprijs.
