After visiting a restaurant in Cascais the previous evening, which was over priced and with poor service, we searched Google while we were out driving, and found this place. It reminded me of a good French 'Routier' restaurant. We arrived at lunch time, it was clearly busy with customers of all ages, families, workers. It was clean and had a good vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I think were one big family. We ordered drinks with no problem ... My Portuguese is practically non existent but the staff were really good. I am a vegetarian and thought that might be a problem, but no, the chef came to me and asked exactly what could I eat and not eat. When the meals arrived they were huge, good hearty man sized meals. I had a cheese omelette, my two friends had a meat / sausage meal, and fish / baby octopus. everything served with vegetables. We got talking with some other friendly customers, while we admired their desserts. After eating as much as possible of our main meals and having enough breathing space, we ordered some of the delicious desserts - many to choose from! When you leave here you will not want another big meal that day. The only thing to note is that they do not accept cards other than Portuguese, but fortunately we had cash.
