A perfect restaurant on the coast of Sao Martinho do Porto with great fresh fish and seafood. I recommend booking in advance, the restaurant is small, cozy and very popular. We pre-ordered Cataplana food and it was an amazing gastronomic experience. We were with three children and the service was extremely nice, attentive, empathetic and patient. They even picked out one crawfish for the children to look at up close and pet. The food was perfect, fresh and very tasty. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was worth the money. And they also had percebes, which is not seen everywhere. Yum, yum and yum

We had a lovely meal with our family at Nova Caravela on the quay of São Martinho do Porto bay. We started with fresh oysters, clams, and a tuna tartare. It was delicious. The clams and the fresh tuna are highly recommended. Exceptionally well-prepared and flavorful. For mains, the boys had a nice tuna steak and we had a fresh sea bass. The fish is fresh and excellently prepared. We paired it with a Vino Verde Chauvignon; it tasted great, went well with the fish, and has a 4.1 rating on Vivino, which is high for a white wine. The restaurant is cozily decorated with lots of white, fitting for a seafood place. The owners and staff are very friendly and work hard to make sure you have a great time. All in all, highly recommended. Oh, and while you’re here: about a hundred meters down the quay (past the buildings) you’ll find a pedestrian tunnel that takes you from the bay to the Atlantic Ocean. Quite special.

Perfect diner achter de rug bij deze zeer fijne mensen! Bediening gewoon in het Nederlands. Enorm lekkere verse vis, met hele lekker groentjes erbij. De dochter at een vleesgerecht dat ook zeer lekker was, met perfecte frietjes! Super lekker Sangria en ook het dessert was prima. Hier kan geen slecht woord over gezegd worden. Wij komen nog terug!

We had a very good experience in this restaurant. We ordered grilled sea bass, it was delicious with a smoky taste. We also tasted shrimps with garlic. The wine was very smooth and light.
