“Very good option for 4 or more people. The fish is chosen from a counter at the entrance of the restaurant. Prices per kilo have always been high, but the quality of the fish and the way it is prepared (grilled) is exemplary. Today at lunch we started with some clams à bulhão pato, a sea bream weighing 900 grams accompanied by the house's green wine and with some cheese in the middle... there was no longer room for dessert. I've known this restaurant for many years and haven't been here for 6 years. The outside space has been renovated and is much better. I still recommend avoiding weekends.“

“The first kebab house in Ericeira, the food is excellent, service is homely and the meat, falafel, salads and sauces are all authentic, clean and well prepared. I have rarely experienced this with a kebab house anywhere and it's rare for me to eat a 'kebab'. However the exception is at Luxembourg where it all comes together and I keep going back. Quality doesn't need to come at a high price. Luxembourg does its job perfectly.“

“If you’re looking for a genuine, lovely, local place to eat, search no further. This is the place you’re looking for . Extremely friendly, quaint little restaurant with hearty food and great house wine (I tried the white). It is really small and thus cozy and the staff is attentive and well meaning. You will find yourself immediately at home here. Additionally, they broadcast sports on their (discreet but present) screens indoors and out in the street. You can grab a stool outside and watch the match while you relish a plate of pimientos al padron with a nice cold draft. Yeah… recommend !“

“It's very difficult to have everything good and sometimes it doesn't just depend on the restaurant, it depends on the diners. And today everything fell into place, basket with hot bread and cracklings already inside the bread, a person received like this even forgets to place the order. “Cute place if you want a quick dessert. The workers are nice and motivated even though it’s late.
I took a waffle, which was pretty good but the ice cream had a lack of flavor…
The chantilly was not good and didn’t taste good at all. The waffle was soft and well cooked.
We took a vanilla milkshake but it was just a cup of milk with a tint of vanilla…

“This is a family run restaurant and is fabulous. They offer excellent sushi and Brazilian style Portuguese cuisine. Highly recommend this restaurant, don't be deterred by the "take away" option, they have a very cozy sit down area. Relaxed, friendly service from the owner and family. Open every lunch and dinner other than Tuesdays.“

“The best place to eat fish for lunch (it only opens at noon). On the day of our visit, we had a gorgeous grilled sea bass. The side dishes are fixed (very generous portions) and the same regardless of the fish you order. We paid 45 Euros for a sea bass for two with beans, potatoes, salad, and half a litre of white wine.
Service is ultra friendly.“

For me one of the best restaurants I've been to so far. The many small dishes invite you to share and everything was outstanding, so much so that we went there again the following day.
Great service, especially when you order the eggplant.

“The caipirinhas (normal and red fruits) were very good.
I recommend Prim’s Noble Steak, the cooking that I requested was respected and the sauce was super good.
The grilled octopus was very tender and the spinach was cooked so that even for someone who doesn't like spinach it was still good.

“We had a great meal at this place. They have a permanent menu of €17 with a starter and a main, €19 if you add dessert. We ordered sweet potato with avocado and for main the tartare which is incredible and the portion was very generous. The desserts are very vegetal and are very good.“

This restaurant doesn't have a menu as such. You choose fresh fish at the counter, it is weighed for you and taken off the grill. Grilled fish is very tasty. Price in kilograms. The service staff is very friendly. The location is wonderful, overlooking Ocean! The language of communication is English. You won't get any compliments from the chef here, you have to pay for every roll. I repeat again: tasty but expensive!“

“Our experience was great since the moment we asked for a table. The waiters were extremely friendly and since they knew our language (Spanish), they spoke it to make us feel comfortable.
This place is famous for its fresh fish and it didn't disappoint. We got the sea bass and it was GREAT! One of the best I ever had.
I highly recommend to visit this place if you are around Ericeira.
The only negative point is that it is cash-only.“

“I've been to Tavira many times and this is my favourite restaurant by far. Today I sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the pork in tawny port sauce, which was exquisite. Service is excellent and the ambiance relaxed and friendly. Everything was perfect until the accordion player showed up and subjected us to Hotel California on the accordion. Just wrong on so many levels. But the restaurant makes up for that blip.“

“Our meal at Ribas wanted me to change our other reservations so we could come back and try more dishes. Each bite was a bite of joy.
And while we could nit pick (fancy restaurants beg for it), we were thoroughly delighted and satisfied. From the best toasted bread we’ve ever had to the scallop and mango salad to the prawn and scallop risotto to the steak, each dish was above the bar in quality and taste.“

“Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Me and my friend ate here pretty much every night of our holiday, other than when it was closed. We’ve both eaten at plenty of nice restaurants around the world and this place tops both of our lists. Tomas and Francesco looked after us, they were both great guys who couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend the Steak in Champagne, Black Angus Beef, Mussels Bulhão Pato, Cream & Spinach, Prawns, Sautéed potatoes, Carpaccio & the Pata Negra Smoked Ham. We also tried lots of other dishes that were great. Make sure to book in advance as it gets busy. Prices are more than reasonable for the quality of the service and food.“

“Saturday night, full house, the staff is friendly and very helpful. Cozy and pleasant atmosphere. We ordered for starters, the house specialty, cod pataniscas (delicious!) and octopus (they didn't surprise as much as I expected, but they are also good), main course: chef's steaks (delicious! “Excellent discovery. We were attracted by the smell of garlic bread. We fell in love with this restaurant, with its friendly and family atmosphere, the excellent welcome we received and of course, the delicious garlic breads. We decided to go back a few days but this time to eat the pizzas and we were not disappointed. It was a treat, the pizza dough was thin, crispy and delicious. There were classic pizza recipes and others that were more original and very good (+++ mention for the vegetarian). And even the desserts were very good: a generous chocolate mousse, not too sweet, and a homemade vanilla ice cream that was also very creamy.
I really emphasize the quality of the service, the warm welcome given to us, the effort of all the staff to speak English and French in addition to Portuguese. “Dined here on the strength of other reviews. Did not disappoint.Ordered the mussels to start and the grilled salmon for main. Tho the mussels were done straight up, tasted bland when a little seasoning or flare could of been added to make them tastier. However the salmon was cooked to perfection. “Amazing food, secretos was so good. Mojito de Morango (strawberry mojito) was so good, but the Tropical Sangria (pineapple and coconut) was out of this world. Service was good, just a few minor bumps with them forgetting to bring certain things, which we had to remind them that "we were still waiting on 'item'". But in all fairness they were packed. Highly recommend making reservations.
Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options and some items by removing an item or two will easily become vegetarian plates. They have vegetarian burger as well.

“A friend of mine told me to go to Cacilhas (Almada) since is a fisherman village, we were coming from Cristo Rei with Uber and the driver said to get easily in a place with good food depending on how many people you find. After a short walk having a look on restaurants, this was the exactly place we found, the most crowded one, with a smiling woman bringing us a menu and speaking in Italian (she knows lots of languages, well done!), then the rest is one of the best sea food I ever had. Fully accompanied by a regional white wine, the grilled sea bream was terrific! “We beat the crowds on Sunday evening in May. The restaurant was a short 15 minute drive from Lousã where we were staying. The restaurant is very attractive & popular filling up quickly. I chose the steak on a tile with migas & volcano potatoes. Fantastic! (The steak was actually veal, super tender, juicy & delicious.) My boyfriend got the chicken with rice, which he enjoyed, but he said not exactly what he was expecting. Our friend had the seafood risotto which she liked but thought it was a little salty. We finished our meals & my boyfriend got an aperitif and asked for the dessert menu, which never came. We waited about 35-40 minutes more to try & get the check and noticed another table go up to the bar counter to pay. My friend & I went outside my boyfriend had to wait another 10 minutes to get the check & finally pay. The restaurant is very popular but was not completely full, think they need to add more servers to handle the crowd. So food 5 stars, service -4 stars.“

“Lunch at A Lareira Restaurant in Assenta, Municipality of Torres Vedras.
Restaurant with a good indoor room and also a covered terrace.
The starter came with good bread, olives, tuna pâté and a tasty Alentejo dry cheese from Cano, in the municipality of Sousel.
For the main course we shared a wonderful Fish Stew, cooked to order and it was very tasty and well served.
There was also a good Monkfish Skewer with Prawns.
The meal was accompanied by Douro White Wine from Adega Vila Real and I finished with a great, homemade Chocolate Mousse Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream.
