“They had a menu of the day but we arrived at night and ordered some lizard tentacles which turned out to be an octopus leg with green beans. I wasn't hungry so I ordered an omelette and they brought me a huge omelette with a plate of fries. All for 23e, for starters a bread with cheese and a delicious sardine pate. The best of the best Rosa, charming, 6 stars for Rosa, what a crack!!“

“Spectacular restaurant with a wonderful medieval atmosphere. Very nice tables and chairs, all in medieval detail.
The food Spectacular, without a doubt the star dish Vellum Tornedo, for dessert Doçe de Abóbora (pumpkin pie).
Without a doubt the restaurant exceeded my expectations!! I hope I can return to Unhai da Serra and eat here“

“Fiquei 2 noites no alojamento e foi razoável! A limpeza do quarto deixa um pouco a desejar com teias de aranha no teto, varanda e janela wc. Jantei no restaurante estava tudo muito bom só que a comida foi muito demorada, estivemos muito tempo há espera...“

“We arrived here “by chance” when visiting Nelas.
Very well maintained space.
Restaurant with great food and very pleasant and efficient service.
We ate lamb which was very good.
The other options we saw at the tables next to us also looked very good.
We tried the Pedra Cancela reserve which proved to be very worthy of the meal.
At the end we stopped by the store (very well attended, by the way) and took the opportunity to bring some “samples to analyze”
I highly recommend“

“Pretty good food and fair price. The only exception is the dessert buffet, which in addition to being instant (some), at the end of lunch there was little on offer.
Waiting time a little long, 45/50 minutes until the main dish arrives.“

“Excursion from Gondomar, Sunday 30th April. At the beginning, passengers were hesitant because it is a buffet service, but they will end up being delighted with the quality of the meals, the desserts, the hygiene of the space and the parking lot. The person responsible for the excursion, Júlio Almeida, I congratulate D. Isabel, her daughter and her collaborators, everything was 5 stars. Thank you very much“

“This restaurant was a great surprise. The service is exceptional, the staff are unparalleled friendliness and availability. We ate black pork secretions and chicken soup and they were excellent. It will, without a shadow of a doubt, be a mandatory stop on visits to Seia from now on.“

“Great service, with a beautiful view of the animals, I loved the food, quality picanha, and the staff who served us were very friendly and helpful, always asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything.
The entremeada that my girlfriend ordered was also very good, tender. The biscuit cake and passion fruit semifreddo were also very good!
Very affordable prices. For soup, main course, drink, dessert and coffee we paid €12 each.“
“We would rate this 10 stars if we could! Dinner was an amazing experience. The dining area is super small, giving it a family feel. It was like eating at my Portuguese great-grandmother's house and the owner's made it feel cozy and comfortable. The decor added to the terrific ambiance. The food was every bit as nice. The seafood rice was loaded with clams, shrimp, fish, and flavor. The franceshinha especial was the best I've ever had. Both could have been shared, and we still would have left full. As it was, we were rolling out the door because of so much food. My wife was given a cute little shopping bag as a parting gift. Highly recommended!“
“Small but cozy spaceI ate a wonderful vegetable soup and a farmer's pasta that reminded me of my grandmother's, naturally homemade, in good quantity and with an incredible flavor. The price is quite reasonable.Ideal for those who want a homemade and tasty meal.“

“Very welcoming accommodation with a good reception.
Very spacious room with good bathroom.
Surrounding parts clean and organized. It has a common kitchen and a table on the street that you can use for meals. At the door of each room there is a table and chairs that can be used to enjoy the outdoor/dining space. I recommend it for rest and relaxation.
The soundproofing of all could be better.“

“Restaurant to recommend.
Very pleasant and well prepared food.
One downside, it's a little noisy, but that's not the restaurant's fault, but rather that of customers who unfortunately don't realize that the atmosphere is sober.
Nothing to say about the service and food.
I will definitely return.
Well done.“

“Homemade food, good, abundant and at a good price... I was surprised to find this place in a town in the mountains and even more so after several days in Portugal and being in other towns where I couldn't even have a sandwich for dinner.“
“After being refused in 2 restaurantes even though we arrived 1h before close time, a guy in the street saw us and took us to this restaurant. He told us, here they will serve you food and he was right. It is a small home based restaurant with super friendly people. Food is simple but delicious. We had the chicken which was nicely grilled and well seasoned together with the Secreto, sausage and salad. Plates were well served with rice and French fries as sides.“

“What a gem!We visited for breakfast (buffet) and dinner (degustation menu) and had an amazing time. The variety of choices available and the beautiful details made this experience one to repeat.Staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to ensure that costumers are happy. A special mention to the person who served us dinner (unfortunately we didn't get his name): he took the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. You could tell he is doing a job that he loves. Thank you!“

“Spectacular food and attention received. Don't leave without trying the shepherd's potatoes. The blood sausage is something indescribable. Super abundant quantities, it is the first time that we have not been able to finish the dishes, and there are 5 of us eaters. Furthermore, they have served us very quickly.“
“Surprise surprise, as you enter you can see the environment, well renovated, with many details that are important to me such as the bread basket, the container to serve the wine, the background music that invites you to relax and give it that touch .. .different. Surprise; my dish was typical of here Bitoque a la portuguesa and it consisted of a steak with a fried egg on top on some kind of soup with wine and potatoes on the side, not to ask, but it was delicious, a different flavor, to begrudge... cutting is difficult not seeing much of the steak. Bacalhau with vegetables on top, very good since it had boroa bread (my favourite) and the dessert that was the first I saw when I entered, a cheesecake mousse, really delicious and that I would have had a little colder, but spectacular, abundant and above all in a very very pleasant environment.“

“Best restaurant in Serra da Estrela.Wonderful food, with typical flavors of Serra da Estrela. The lamb, chanfana and especially the cod with cheese from Serra da Estrela are fantastic. The environment is another 5 star point. We are always very well received by the family that owns the restaurant and we feel at home there.“

“Lunch for 3, we paid just over 45 euros. We ate soup of the day, caldo verde and it wasn't anything special, plus the chorizo was far below what is expected in this area. The dish of the day cost 8.5 euros and was Bacalhau à Brás, I wasn't impressed, on the contrary there was a platter for 2 people which was the same for the tables of 1 person, if I hadn't had soup as a starter it might not have been enough, however mr. The person who served us was very attentive and offered replacement if necessary. On the other hand, the grilled meats were good and the pala pala fries were great. If I went back I would try the chicken which looked good. We didn't try dessert.
Parking: Few“

“We went here because it is in the center of Seia and it was next to the 4 Bicas fountain and it caught our attention. We were scared to read in the reviews that the waiter was rude, however the person who served us was very friendly, very nice with the children and helpful. We loved the food, the homemade fries, the Alheira were delicious, the chicken bifinhos for the children were delicious, and the quantity was great. Great price. We will return!
Kid-friendliness: It seems incredible to me that I have to add as an extra if they admit children as if they were something bad, amazing that there is “childphobia” but not “petphobia”, signed by a lover of children and animals.“

“Typical Portuguese bar, type inn. We ate 3, very good service, homemade food. The waiter and the owner did their best to understand us. We ate blood sausage with chestnuts, mountain cheese, a typical fried sausage and cod crumbs. We couldn't handle everything, adding 4 drinks, two desserts and two coffees for €41.“
