Personally, an excellent restaurant is one where not only the food is delicious and well presented but the atmosphere is charming and welcoming. With a very afro-tropical interior, Papa Figo’s olive oil fish was the first I ordered in the Santomean island and it set the bar really high for other foods. Their dessert range is quite extensive making me fall in love with all their cheesecakes especially the red fruit and passion fruit one. I kept going to eat there during my stay...
We stopped here for a late lunch joining several other parties in their covered open air restaurant. After choosing a table under a fan(no AC), menus followed, then a waitress took our order. I used the clean restroom and washing station returning to a set table with a tall ring of napkins, an orange drink and a large local beer. Soon the hot Grilled Croaker steak, french fries with catsup and sauteed cabbage and carrots arrived. We enjoyed the shared meal which was delicious...
