After seeing some criticisms made here, we went to dinner at this place a little hesitantly but still decided to take a chance.
And I'm glad we did, we don't have anything bad to say, the food came to the table quickly, all the dishes were well prepared and tasty.
The sunset is wonderful, so it's definitely a place I recommend and I hope to return.

We were 3, me, my sister and my brother in law... the restaurant is nicely located by the bay and the waitress is cute, and that was the good part... thent the couvert was forgotten... my dish came fist... then we had to wait another 15 minutes for the other dishes to arrive... waitress apologized and said "sorry I am alone here, and very busy here today" (it was a nice hot summer day full of potential customers)... it shouldn't be customer fault for the bad restaurant management and lack of staff, but expensive tourists'prices... oh well, never again for me

We reserved a table for 7 people.
We ordered fries, snails, farnheira balls, fried cuttlefish, toasted bread, scrambled eggs with farnheira and drinks.
What was good...eggs with farnheira and snails, despite the hyper-inflated price in relation to the quantity served.
The rest, very bad... the potato was raw, it went to the back, the cuttlefish was fried, it had a fishy flavor, clearly the oil had already fried a lot of fish and the doses were very small.
The imperial arrived almost halfway through dinner. The barrel ran out and the machine was processing???? Anyway...it must be too much computing.
It was the 1st and I won't be back.

Too bad to be true, very bad service employees always running away from the customer and inside the restaurant when the restaurant is 80% on the terrace then the portions are inappropriate on a board costing €50 for two people the portions of rice and black beans are for half .person is ridiculous and the meat for a person.
The owner admitted it but still didn't do anything, I still ordered the second portion of rice and it arrived at the end of lunch.
Too bad for €93 RIDICULOUS

Our 2nd visit to Maria Xafarica went very badly. From 0-5, it would be 1.
I booked a table for Mother's Day, through a post on the Restaurant's Instagram page, which presented a special menu for the day, as well as a special offer - Drink Wellcome - for all mothers who went there for lunch with their children, but with reservation.
I arrived before the scheduled time and asked if we could sit down (just so I didn't have to wait standing) since our table was free. We were not allowed and asked to go for a walk and come at the appointed time (2pm). They only called us to sit at the table at 2:05 pm. Dishes on the table were wet and had fingerprints of grease on them, so I asked them to bring me clean plates without water. We placed the order and waited 30 minutes for drinks, plates and glasses, as well as some simple starters (croquettes and alheira balls) which when they arrived at the table were already cold.
However, a table of people who arrived after us, started to be served before us.
The glasses arrived poorly washed.
The drink I ordered natural came fresh. When the order finally came, with another 20 minute wait after the starters, it came with a “toast” of a clearly visible hair on top of the fruit, the prawns were ground, and the Mother's Day drink never arrived. table. Even after my dissatisfaction with all these failures and the absence of the special drink, they only gave the justification that it had already run out and didn't even bother to improvise another one to guarantee customer satisfaction with the offer advertised by the restaurant.
The floor of the restaurant was very dirty, with the appearance of not being washed daily.
When I went to speak to the person in charge, who is the cook, she was very shocked when I mentioned that I found a hair in the food. However, she and the other cook were preparing the food without needing a cap. I will definitely not go back, nor do I recommend it.

Kitchen service was slow, snacks arrived every 10 minutes.Servings of small individual dishes.Alheira balls that you could tell were frozen. Sweet potato fries, soft.No ATM service and they asked for a single mbway movement to pay for 12 people.
