A must stop. They don't speak English, if you ask for an English menu they shake their heads. In a few words, they will tell you what, of course, has nothing to do with what you think. Here you really arrive in Madeira. You can eat well for cheap. It is not a place reserved for tourists. But Google is your friend, you can figure out what's going on and they don't care about you. ? Then you'll get something to eat. But you get the feeling of going to a local on Sunday. Don't ask for a cheese sandwich, because cold Gepsonka cold cheese is cold Madeira bread. But they bring it out in 1 minute.

Very good place and at a good price, good treatment and with parking next to it, we have even repeated, giving consideration to a Latin boy who was very nice to us and took care of us out of 10.
A 10/10

Good service. Good food. Good drinks. Cheap.
Only one of the staff members spoke good english, the others just basic. Was very accommodating and cute because he explained basically all the dishes and drinks (e.g. 'i forgot to tell you that poncha is alcoholic, is that okay?', 'do you know what picado is? its chopped meat with french fries. I personally like it but...')
Nikita was creamier than others I've had. I liked the thicker texture.
They have lupine beans as well as shelled peanuts you can have with your poncha. First time to try the traditional lupine beans and was good.
Had the porco picado, where picado is basically a stir fry meat served with a butt load of fries. Get this if you are hella hungry (such as after a hike to pico grande or wherever) and don't care about your oil intake. Pork was cooked with a sweet and sour sauce. The fries soak up the sauce and was great. Pork was tender and cooked very well.
