Advised by the helpful and friendly employee who works in the crafts store next to the Sertã Parish Council. About the restaurant, excellent atmosphere by the river, a good terrace, fantastic food at a modest price. Maranho and tripe are some of the best I've ever eaten, the sausages and cheeses are divine. We recommend going early, as it fills up quickly. What a beautiful treasure in the countryside! to return and several times.

Magnificent place, with a wonderful view over the river. Food very well prepared, the maranhos and tripe were some of the best I've ever eaten. The cheese and sausage tile is very good and very well served. Very good quality/price ratio! Place to return whenever you pass by.

In a corner of the village of Sertã, right next to another restaurant with established credit, Palheiro does not disappoint the village's good gastronomic tradition and really passes with distinction. Dishes with a traditional base that innovate at one point or another. This time we ate chanfana, which was well prepared, perfectly cooked and concluded with a dessert that served its purpose. Prices remain very affordable

Our group was made up of 48 people and we had an excellent lunch consisting of starters of cheese, butter and very tasty dark bread, snacks and sausages typical of the region and maranho and tripe. This was followed by delicious fish soup and oven-roasted pork loin with its side dishes. There were several desserts. I went for the molotoff, hmmm, but the pudding was also excellent. Then the coffee order. As for the service, very kind and efficient young staff. There were no dead moments of waiting. We had a room just for our group. I became a fan and recommend it.

This "haystack" is the place we always visit to eat. Not only for lunch or dinner but also for late afternoon snacks. The location is extremely pleasant, the staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.
I have a local accommodation in the region and I always advise everyone to come and visit this place.
