Simple but very well prepared food! Prices are good for the type of dishes you receive. The employees are very proactive.

Wonderful meal. We ate grilled mackerel and swordfish and it was phenomenal. The fish was perfectly grilled, very fresh and the staff were very attentive. It is in a quiet area with plenty of space to sit.

I was surprised to see this restaurant has a rate under 4. Anyways, me, my husband and son had one of the best seabas in our life here. Fresh (quite sure from the day) and very very well prepared! We will never forget this dinner and tastes! Congrats to the owners and cooks for the quality of the food ?

We were very well received, the atmosphere was super welcoming (they even responded to a musical request). We ordered grilled fish and it was great, fresh and without preservatives, definitely a place to return and a regular spot on summer holidays in Sesimbra.

A true experience of a great fish restaurant, with the personality and unique characteristics of its people. Probably the best grill in Sesimbra and surrounding areas, with very affordable prices. Simple, pure and very good. Unassuming.
And you learn a lot about fish and how to eat it with Mr Luís.

The worst experience I have ever had eating out.

I came here today with my partner. To begin with, we waited about 30 minutes to be served, while we were sitting at a table still dirty from the previous customers that we were told to sit at.
When they served us, I asked for lulas (squid), but since there were none left, they offered me chocos. When they brought the cuttlefish they were half raw, completely dirty inside (I'm not talking about the ink, but rather the intestinal contents of the animal). We tried a couple of bites, but it was inedible. With the bitter taste of the intestines, hard, difficult to chew, raw in some areas, singed in others.
We spoke to the waiter and he took it away from us, telling us that in Sesimbra they cook like this. Honestly, being from Galicia, I have eaten chocos thousands of times in my life, both in my region and in Portugal, and I have never tried anything like it. My stomach was turning. Cleaning the choco is completely essential and the MINIMUM before serving it.

When they brought us the bill, the charge for the choco (€20.30) was included, and we asked that they please remove it, since that dish was not ready to eat in any way.
They refused, with very bad manners, the man began to shout loudly and clearly that “they don't want to pay”, to try to ridicule us in front of other customers and make us feel embarrassed.

I asked for the complaints book, while he and other employees commented in Portuguese, mockingly, a language I understand. I took the book out to the table I was on (on the terrace) so I could write in peace, without hearing childish comments from the employees in front of me. The man from before started shouting asking: Did they pay??? They answered no, that he was away writing the claim. And he shouted again: “First pay, and then write whatever you want.”
After saying this, a woman ripped the book out of my hands while I was writing, telling me that the complaints book does not leave the restaurant. I repeat, I was on the restaurant terrace. I wasn't going to take the complaints book for a walk through Sesimbra.
I finished the claim, we paid and left.

Apart from all this, the only payment methods available are in cash or with a Portuguese bank. Something they don't warn you about before you sit down.

In short: a bad education that I had never seen before in the public, the treatment has been verbally and physically violent (because of how they ripped the book out of my hands), and as for the food, this dish specifically was very bad.

It doesn't mean that there are probably delicious things, but the lack of professionalism when something minimal fails, makes this place definitely not a good choice. Having worked in hospitality myself, I can safely say that these people do not know how to run a business, much less deal with customers professionally.

I really have nothing bad to say about the food, both my boyfriend and I ate sea bream and they were both excellent! Now regarding the atmosphere... we were the first to arrive for dinner, both on the terrace. Then another couple arrived and talked for a long time with the man who was at the grill. The couple was at the table next to us, so not hearing their conversation was impossible. The man at the grill told this couple that they should never eat with a hat on or at the table... and my boyfriend, being bald, was eating with a hat on, firstly, because he does whatever he wants, secondly because it was windy and the hat always helps him; then send the tip that fish, when it's good, should never be eaten with sauce, and I asked for butter sauce and put it on top of the fish... totally unnecessary to say these things, even if they weren't directed directly at us, they did us to feel that we were a little lacking in respect. Everyone is the way they are and eats the way they want, now to be saying these things right next to us... I wouldn't do it. We really felt like we shouldn't be there. (Oh, and besides, my boyfriend ordered some fries on the side because he didn't feel like eating boiled potatoes and they cost €4…. €4 for an extra side dish…. In fact, we didn't ask the price, but not even in a more expensive restaurant would we pay €4 for a few measly fries).
