The space itself is nice, with good use of the original wine cellar, but the food we were served was terrible. We ordered small mackerel with tomato rice and fresh tuna, served with broccoli. The rice was simultaneously overcooked and raw, as well as tasteless, and the broccoli was yellow because it was so old. They all stayed on the plate. The cover charge, as we noticed when presenting the bill, is paid by the piece, without us having known the price beforehand, because there is no price list other than the menu that is displayed on slates on a wall. For a basket of bread, two mimosa butters and a cachopas cheese, we paid 8 or 9 euros. It is a shame. The space has a lot of potential. There is a lack of commitment and desire to provide a quality service.

The place is beautiful and with personality, it is a very gracefully decorated tavern, I really think it is one of the most authentic places in Setúbal. The food is really not worth it. Cooked without grace and quite greasy. Unfriendly waitress. A shame, because the site has enormous potential.

Lovely atmosphere and great tasting traditional Portuguese food. I would suggest making a reservation as it is a very popular restaurant. The menu is uniquely displayed on the wall behind the bar with different options for meat or fish. One can also find the menu on their Facebook page. The staff are very friendly and speak English as well. There were 6 of us dining and the average price per person including a drink (cold drink / ice tea / bottle water) was 20€ per person. We also had starters of bread, olives, butter and 4 of us had dessert. It was a lovely evening and I will definitely be going back again soon.
