This place is at the end of my street, I have quickly become my favorite!! It’s so popular that frequently i want to eat here but there are no tables. There are clearly a plethora of local, family run fish places in Setubal, but I keep coming back to this one - and not because of its proximity! Food is phenomenal, the service is top-notch… Multiple people speak English, and even those who say they don’t do,they are just not confident with it. Frequently, I just asked them to bring me whatever they recommend and I have never had a bad meal. In fact, I’ve never even had an average meal. Phenomenal bread, and other outstanding I can’t say anything about it.

It's not the first time we've eaten at this restaurant, the food is good but the atmosphere has been getting worse and today was the last straw for us to never go back there again. I had already witnessed one or another small lack of respect from the owner towards the girl who was serving at the table at the time (a girl from the East), but which I unfortunately devalued. I gave the benefit of the doubt again today due to the food, but I regretted it.We arrived and there weren't many tables on the terrace due to the weather. Only one couple at a table and we ordered a table of 2 people, which they prepared promptly. A group of 8 people later arrives and the owner and the girl who was working there (young, in her 20s) begin to prepare it, and during preparation the owner begins to humiliate the girl by calling her “stupid.” ” and saying that “I couldn’t do that” while smiling and looking at the waiting customers, as if he was being very funny. He said that older people had nothing to learn from young people, since they only knew how to use a cell phone in their hand. The young woman just lowered her head and continued her work.The lack of respect towards the girl, her humiliation in front of everyone, made me get up from the table, without having yet placed my order, and inform the owner that I would never return there again due to the decadent episode I witnessed.

Very bad and unpleasant, too much rudeness on the part of the owners, especially the owner treating a Moldovan employee badly like I have never seen anywhere else in this country, these people are only interested in immediate profit as it is a place close to the tourist area da Fonte Nova and being crowded with some of the rare occasional tourists who go up the street, very bad for the city and for a historic area that is supposed to have some prestige and respect, shabby and unrecognizable prices on an old "placard", etc., very bad in terms of hygiene and in all aspects

Terrible service, the cook and owner from what I understand, super rude, and the roaster's husband is super rude and sexist talking to the workers at the same restaurant, even so we decided to stay and give the benefit of the doubt, but the food came with hair, they sent the menu on the table, they didn't even take care of the customers, they sent the wrong orders twice, the flies while they were roasting the fish, on top of the fish just a cloth full of stains, horrible, we are eating very close to the road, because there's no room for tables inside the restaurant, we're eating, catching pollution from cars and everything, we didn't order desserts, and yet they brought it to the table and we didn't eat and they demanded that we pay, I asked the complaints book and they didn't even haveAnd while I was inside, the kitchen was super dirty, with a really dirty look, food was being stored in buckets and put in the fridge, the fish was being frozen again, in other words, everything was terrible, not to mention that there was a roaster on the street, and the sink directly into the sewer, really horrible and not hygienicAnd I think ASAE should look into this type of horrible establishment, for the sake of future customers.

Lot's of locals eat there so that should be good sign in combination with high reviews right? We have to make order twice - no big deal (girl from service doesn't speak english, german or french), When our orders finally arrived it was separatley with 25 min. difference, bife casa & grilled fish with potatoes. Total waiting time of over then 1 hour (in our case) wouldn't be a problem if there is no lack of owner time management organisation-either you prepare the food or be in front for guests and collect orders, you can't have it both with this kind organisation of work. Regarding to dishes, meat was not treated well just tough-didn't last marinated earlier, part of potatoes raw, fish was ok. We didn't receive bill after we payed.

Amazing! It's great to discover places like this. The service was incredibly welcoming. The food tastes wonderful, and serves very well. The sangria is delicious (you can order it without hesitation). During our visit to Setúbal, we chose Casa da Rosa, based on Google reviews, and it was really worth it. Order: Roasted Mackerel, Grouper Pasta, House Sangria.
