I went to visit the famous Casa das Codornizes on 01/21/2024 to taste the famous eels. Fried eels for 2. After eating the starters, the fried eels came almost an hour later. In short, those who worship this house and its eels have never eaten others. Just go in March to the Eel month in Salvaterra de Magos, in any restaurant there are superior eels, but by far those at Casa das Codornizes. Everything salty, including the price. Tasteless eels, maybe just sludge, salty chips, salty salad and the boiled vinegar lettuce had been sitting on top of it for I don't know how long. The eels turned black to get there, so fried that they looked like French fries. My father has heart problems, his tension got out of control that day due to the amount of salt in most of the food. Unsuitable for those with heart disease. At the end came the painful handwriting on a little piece of paper that you could barely see. €47.80. Go on, go.Casa das Codornizes until never again.The table was arranged for us on the terrace as a special favor. Our bad luck, it would have been better if there were no tables.
