We were hoping to get some food from Frango Vadaiso but when we got there, there were quite a few people waiting to be served. We hadn't realised it was take away only, so asked staff how the system worked & were told to get a number. There are 4 options: priority, courier/ food delivery, pre-order and no pre-orders, so we had to choose the last option. It was about 15+ orders before us and we ended up waiting for around 30+ mins. Had a nosey at the food available when waiting & the range was dazzling! They even have desserts, drinks & crisps to takeaway. As it was pretty late we tried not to order too much but it was difficult! Got a roast chicken & a couple of sides - bacalhau espiritual & a salad of shredded cabbage, carrots, etc in olive oil & vinaigrette. Everything came up to 19+€ which wasn't bad. The portion of bacalhau was almost as expensive as the chicken! Staff gave a separate bag for the salad, so it wasn't put in the same bag with the chicken and hot dishes, and would be kept cold. As we were staying in a hotel and didn't have our own cutlery, we had to get 2 sets which were 35 cents each. Each pack was meant to have a napkin, a spoon, a fork & a knife but a knife seemed to be missing from one of the packs. The chicken was alot larger and meatier than the one we had at Teodosio in Guia, so it was satisfying though it wasn't peri peri, just plain. Meat was fairly moist, including the breast meat. We loved the bacalhau which had a couple of prawns in. The salad was also really crisp, fresh and tasty and still cold. It went really well with the chicken. If we were staying longer in Setubal, we would probably have returned again to try their other dishes. Recommended & well worth the wait if you're craving grilled chicken or just some good food to fill your hunger!!
