Churrascaria Sal e Brasa is a very popular restaurant located in the centre of Brasília at the North Wing near the TV Tower. Service is efficient and friendly. Don’t expect much English. We came on a Friday and the place was packed with locals. People we queuing to have a seat. There is a buffet with an impressive choice of dishes and a sushi-bar. At your table you choose for ‘with meat’ or ‘without meat’. Waiters permanently walk around with spines of different sorts of grilled meat. For BRL 99 you eat as much as you like. Drinks, deserts & coffee are extra. We dislike eat-as-much-as-you-can buffets, nonetheless we weren’t disappointed. The food was well presented and mostly of good quality. We had a ½ bottle of Malbec and mineral water. The food was tasty, and the wine was good. We ended with Caramelised warm Banana with Sorbet and coffee. The desserts were very good. When you like to dine like the locals: Restaurant Sal e Brasa is the place for you. Recommended.

The first time we came here was very nice! It was a sunday. The meat was delicious and there was a colourfull buffet of vegetables, sushi, other dishes… cheese and some other things of the buffet I personally didn’t like, but because the meat was so good it was fine. When we came back a few days later, the difference couldn’t been bigger. The meat was dry, the mashed potatos came from a can or pack. No potato was found in it. All the vegetables where bad. Disgusting! The cheese was even worse, it were the same cubes they had cut on the sunday before I guess… they almost turned to plastic. Never going back there.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this churrascaria: melt-in-the-mouth & tasty meat and a full buffet for the very reasonable price of R70 per person. Our pescatarian daughter also had plenty of options with the sushi bar and tasty fish & shrimp dishes in the buffet. Combined with a great cocktails selection, live piano music and top-notch service, it was our best dinner yet in Brazil!
