We waited 15 minutes for two drinks. When the drinks were brought to the neighboring table, whose guests had arrived at the same time, ours weren't there. A little later another waiter came and wanted to take the order again. It doesn't work at all!

A small cafe within the walls of the Silves Castle. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and offered a wide range of food and drink items. We enjoyed their Rose Sangria, which was herbal and refreshing.
Service was a little slow, even though it wasn’t very busy, and even by Portuguese standards. It was good service, just slow, so be prepared to wait a little.
One thing I did not try, but was recommended to me by locals afterwards, was the orange cake, a staple in Silves.

Good café right inside the castle. Usually restaurants in such places could be so-so, but not this one - the food is good - we ordered coffee and crepes, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The price is also fine, highly recommend to have a break here.

Very nice cafe in the centre of the historic castle of Silves. They serve a local lemon cake, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. They also don't have vegetable milk, so it's more standard portuguese style drinks and coffees.
