“Excellent Portuguese family restaurant. All in simplicity. The boss comes to show us his choice of fresh fish. We're going to choose our desserts from the fridge. Like at home ! Too friendly. and everything is excellent. It feels like our grandparents' house, right down to the chocolate mousse, the real one! Lovely welcome. Bright and friendly waitress yet she only speaks Portuguese and we don't have a word! The exchange was so funny! Thanks everyone!
An address to keep. :)“

“Cracking spot a bit away from the tourist trail. Ugo could not have been more charming, gracious and helpful. Husband gor an Aberdeen Angus burger and I, a chicken one. They were huge, though we'll presented. Came with fries, also excellent and wonderfully chilled beers. Ugo and the team were very attentive, friendly and warm. Many of the better known Silves tourist restaurants would do well to take note!“

“We stumbled on this place after being refused entry to another as they were too busy - this restaurant was quiet so we were not sure but how wrong were we? Husband had the meat platter on a hot stone and I had the fish on the hot stone Amazing food will definitely call again if get chance“

“Real Portuguese home cooking. Locals go there to eat or take food to go. Monday to Saturday 2 inexpensive dishes each, as a menu with a drink (e.g. white wine, red wine) and dessert plus coffee for 10-12€, a starter soup for a small surcharge of 2€. We recommend“
“Extraordinary dinner. We had Fragateria - its a soup. We ordered for 2 person - 34€ but the portion os for 3(4) persons at least. Taste? Very good taste, lot of fish bites, sea fruits…very satisfied Taste: 5/5 Visual: 5/5 Service: waiters 5/5“

“I came upon Lendas e Mitos on my visit to Silves. The food was excellent. I got a sandwich, soup, desert and coffee all under 10 euros. The lady who work at the restaurant was friendly and able to communicate with me in English. I sat outside since it was a nice day. The area was clean and quiet.“
“Great little place for lunch. Straightforward food on a brief menu (not just vegetarian). We sat outside on the pavement with our dog; we shared a plate of padron peppers; I had the Portuguese bean stew, H had a cheese, sundried tomato and basil toastie, and we had a couple of glasses of wine each. A bargain at €27! Friendly, helpful service. Recommended.“

“Quality/ Price ☆☆☆☆☆
Very well served dishes.

Especially the service provided by Mr. Dinis, the family loved it, and may he continue to serve you willingly.
Thanks everyone. ?“
“To be honest kidnap them all. Family run restaurant. One of the best kept secrets (for tourists) in the area. Its not on the tourist path and doesnt need to be because the locals are here every day. The dishes are uniquely Portuguese however different from anything you'll find anywhere else. Come early to get a spot. Has lovely outdoor seating beneath hanging grapes overlooking the stream. ALSO UNVACCINATED FRIENDLY.“

“Restaurant with a pleasant and familiar atmosphere. Every day there is a huge variety of homemade food for all tastes, but it is always very well prepared and fresh. They always have a variety of salads and desserts, as well as having a good space for those who come with children and need space for strollers. For smokers, there is a pleasant shaded terrace.“

“We found this address in le petit futé.
And fortunately we followed the advice because there were few people, but frankly, a menu of the day for €12 is worth it!
Good welcome, typical restaurant with Portuguese decor, simple and traditional dishes, cold beer, inexpensive wine, terrace in a small street
In short: only positive for us“

“A small cafe within the walls of the Silves Castle. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and offered a wide range of food and drink items. We enjoyed their Rose Sangria, which was herbal and refreshing.
Service was a little slow, even though it wasn’t very busy, and even by Portuguese standards. It was good service, just slow, so be prepared to wait a little.
One thing I did not try, but was recommended to me by locals afterwards, was the orange cake, a staple in Silves.“
“I go regularly to Dona Elisabete and the family that owns MIRA RIO and her team deserve our hug and I was angry when an individual without respect, without the quality of a tourist (another one of the Tugas on the move through our region who, out of natural stupidity, decided to offend a family that has been in the hospitality business for many years. This individual has the name: Nelson Borges and here I come to send him a short message: "You are just a bad language because it is not the first comment of displeasure that I have read written by you in other restaurants from the region" that's why I recommend that those I know not receive it and as you know it's easy. He criticized without content and without a constructive idea. I feel like telling Mr. Nelson Borges that he got the scratch card and traveled for the first time. I was there the day Nelson Borges had lunch at MIRA RIO I WAS ALSO AND I HAD THE SAME DISH (Galinha de Cabidela) GET IT? Mira Rio doesn't need people of your weak level.PS: Declaration of interests: I am not a relative or a member of Mira Rio, nor a supplier, just a customer who has been attending regularly for many years;“
“We had lunch here. Traditional portuguese food that was excellent. Service was also excellent. We couldn't understand why there was a lineup at the restaurant next door, not here. We highly recommend avoiding the lineups and coming here instead!“

“We wanted to go here for lunch but it was fully booked. Later in the afternoon, we came back for dessert and were lucky to get a table. The red fruit crumble was very tasty and the brownie with ice cream was outstanding. Reservations recommended as this place is so popular.“
