Food is decent but service is the worst we experienced on our trip to Portugal. Would not return to this restaurant. ** Here’s why… we initially sat down and were offered food (bread, butter, cheese, shrimp etc). Our waiter smiled & said enjoy. We ordered the rest of our food, some of which was not enjoyable. We received the check, and our waiter added every dish that was put on our table, including bread and butter. He offered an apology for not telling us it was not included but that was it. He also stated that if we ate we should pay. He knew what he was doing by putting this food down and keeping his lips sealed. At some point when we discussed with a ‘manager’ our waiter was nowhere to be found. I’d imagine he was hiding in the back somewhere until we left . Every other restaurant we visited announced charges ahead of time. And for those wondering, paying is not the issue, because these items were paid for at other restaurants we visited. It’s the sneakiness behind intentionally saying nothing and offering it to guests as free. This is the reason this place only has 2 stars.

The whole experience of the dinner was dreadful. We got scammed and tricked and sick. We didn't eat, we paid 150 euros and went home hungry and ill, my mum even cried on our way home, because of how stupid she felt. I do not advise this place to anyone. I regret spending my evening there. My mum and I wanted to eat someplace nice after the day at the beach. We checked the menu and approximate prices and decided that it was a good choice. As soon as the waiter saw that we were foreigners he approached us chaotically and in an unpleasantly handy way took us to the pool where they had different kinds of lobsters and other sea creatures. he convinced us to try the Lavagante and assured us that it was good. He never mentioned the price or warned us about the huge price in advance. since he didn't and we never asked (which I regret a lot) and there was no item on the menu as expensive, we decided to take it. If I'm being honest my mum regretted accepting the offer to try the food as soon as she sat down at the table but the waiter was very convincing and persuaded us very easily. He showed us the Lavagante, straight out of the pool and it was not moving a bit. I doubt that it was even alive. I have a video, which unfortunately I can not upload here, where I can see how unmovable the Lavagante is. When the dish arrived for my mum, she tried it and was not impressed. We have a restaurant near the sea so at least, we can distinguish good seafood from bad. This lobster was not good at all. My mum tried to eat it, but she could not finish because she didn't like the taste. everything she ate, was because she forced herself to. I ordered a steak for myself, with some fries and rice. The steak was simply not cuttable or eatable. It was drowning in water and was served with old rice and cold oily fries. I hadn't eaten the whole day, but still, I could not force myself to eat it. I gave some to the dogs nearby and left almost 80% on the plate. nobody asked why There was one waiter, whom I came to ask for a bill, and he, in a very unprofessional, familiar way rested his hands on my shoulders and touched them in an unpleasant way. It is not ethical to touch other people like that and I didn't feel good about this gesture at all. it made me very uncomfortable. When the bill arrived, it said 133 euros just for the Lavagante and 150 in total. we were speechless. As mentioned, nobody warned us in advance about the price. I told the waiter that since the price was so high, he should have told us in advance and we would have decided on our own if we wanted to buy it. (no price on a menu!) we felt tricked. everything was so suspicious. he even chose the Lavagante for us, the one that was sitting very down at the bottom and wasn't moving even in the pool. I feel like those employees get interest from sails and try to sell unfresh things to people for a high price. even my boyfriend who saw the picture of the food through the screen said that it didn't look fresh. We arrived home in a terrible mood. our whole day was ruined cause we felt tricked and deceived. the worst part of the night started in the car on our way back. My mum suddenly started feeling unwell and vomited a bit in the car. when we got home she felt completely sick. She couldn’t escape her unwell state and was starting to feel dizzy and nauseous. She vomited a couple of times even until this late hour, 2 am. I am with her and trying my best to make her feel better

Very busy place with a bit of hectic. Pleasant staff and good food. The interior looked both new and old. Our guess is that they renovated a part.

We were in Lisbon and it was hot, so our instinct was to go to the beach. We chose Costa da Caparica and went early in the morning to make the most of the day. We didn't want to miss anything, especially food! We booked a table on TripAdvisor early in the morning and we were given priority immediately, despite the long line. This made us feel welcome. The staff was very friendly, the starters were delicious (the carpaccio was particularly good) and the prawn soup was divine. The sea bass was also delicious. The service was okay, they were able to find space on the table and keep it clean, even better than expected for a beach restaurant. We were impressed. The food transported us back to our childhood family vacations, which was the most important part

Unfortunately, yesterday I had a very bad experience in this place. i was there with my girlfriend and a couple of friends and their daughter. to start my order came a long time before my friends orders. then came a very large plate, by mistake from the house, for my friend. after realizing the error, the employees returned to the table and removed the plate from the table again. EVEN AFTER MY FRIEND HAS STARTED EATING. When I asked what they were going to do with that dish, THE EMPLOYEE SAID THAT THEY WOULD USE FOOD FROM THAT PLATTER TO MAKE OTHER DISHES. I know this sounds absurd. I was astonished too. Mistakes everyone can make. What matters to me is how we solve them. TERRIBLE ATTENDANCE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
