I went expecting to be surprised and left highly disappointed. Lamelas fails as a whole and does not live up to what it sets out to do. The signature food doesn't stand out, the service is amateurish, lacking class and very little personalized and the space and decor are banal.
One note, it is not acceptable for cutlery and glasses to be literally glued to the table, it gives a very unhygienic image, the table was extremely sticky.

Now, a restaurant whose cheapest main dish costs €17.5 and the most expensive €33 cannot have poorly cleaned tables where the cutlery, plates and glasses stick to the table. The tables are crowded together, the atmosphere is poor, the decor is sparse and the service falls short. There were a lot of good people who complained about the amount of food being small and not worth the price. I'm ok with the quantity. I think I had the right doses when the concept is to share and order several starters. But when Ana Moura wants an elite restaurant (taking into account the price, it can only be done) she can't just offer elite food, the rest also counts. When we compare this restaurant to others in the surrounding area, namely in Vila Nova de Milfontes, Lamelas doesn't even compete.
This restaurant in Vila de Porto Covo isn't just made of flaws, as we ate some fried squid as a starter that was divine, the Abrótea with Clams and Green Sauce was distinctive (change the name of the sauce because it's scary), the Açorda Alentejana with Sole was also it was good. I highlight the desserts: cheese afternoon and chocolate mousse with peanut crumble.

The restaurant is located in a fantastic location, especially for those on the terrace.
Unfortunately, the dishes are poor in flavor (except the feijoada) and very poor in the essential ingredient in a place like this: fish.
Plus, the creamy fish rice in particular only tasted like butter…
Starters are prohibitively expensive for the tiny quantities served.
Honestly not worth the high price!

We had read very good recommendations and it doesn't surprise me. It is recommended to reserve because although the place is small and there are several tables, it is very popular.
The food is homemade, but elaborate. They treated us with great love and dedication. We ordered squid with hake roe and stuffing that enhanced its flavor. Then clams with a fish similar to hake and a sauce similar to green. For dessert (it's worth making room for) the chocolate mouse and cheesecake with pistachios. The price was €60.
Congratulations to the chef and the entire team. It is a wonder!

Delicious, but if you're really not hungry enough, there are better places not far away, no need to be a sleeper Michelin tire, affordable price for a semi gastro I would say

Without doubt the best restaurant in Porto Covo but far from good. Our reservation had not been registered and we were placed next to the kitchens with the music playing loudly. The dishes were not worth the price. The waiter forgot one of our orders. The team is quite nice.

Top drawer Michelin quality food - creatively encapsulating the essence of Alentejana produce.
When I arrived to book a table I was disgracefully attired, having walked to and from Forte de Nossa Senhora da Queimada and been tossed comprehensively around by the waves for a couple of hours. The maitre de kindly welcomed me in and took my details even as I baulked at entering the restaurant...what a classy man!
We dined on delicious cheese and cured fish, fresh as fresh can be octopus salad, calamari and flavoursome bread and lard.
The orange wine reminded me of home (Chapel Down winery in Kent).
The mains of fish stew, seafood & rice and spare ribs were gorgeous and generous. Ana cooks with a real passion and attention to detail, the flavours were rich without being overbearing.
The front of house staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and attentive.
Loved every second, every mouthful.
Great work. All the very best to you all.

Came here twice on a weekend trip, it’s as good as it gets. It’s a signature chef restaurant, everything is thought of by Ana, the chef and owner. I tried all the starters, all of them delicious with a special mention to the calamari, the gazpacho and the butter. As for the mains, if I had to pick my last meal I’d be torn between the calamari with potato and the migas with pork chops. The fish rice and seafood rice is also amazing. Deserts: try them all. You won’t regret it.
The staff is very professional, careful and extra nice.

I can't share about the food but I can comment on what happened to us. We asked for a table for two adults and a baby. They were available inside, but there was no space for the baby's stroller. Our son was sleeping and we asked to eat outside at the tables they had set out. The answer was "we don't have service for the terrace". Well, if they don't have space for a baby stroller, I also assume they don't have space for a wheelchair, which doesn't look good in a restaurant famous for being in the Michelin Guide.
If you don't have a terrace service, don't put tables and chairs outside. Obviously, even if our son was awake, he wouldn't leave his stroller outside the restaurant.
I found the attitude regrettable...
Perfect summer dinner!
We found a simple menu without too many pretensions, each dish was well balanced and we were pleasantly struck by the kindness of the guys in the dining room.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly, but there are several opportunities for improvement. All the starters were incredible, but the portions left something to be desired. The main dish, abrótea, wasn't the best I've ever tasted.

Delicious fish and beautiful terrace
Signature dishes. Everything very well prepared and tasty. Fast and attentive service. However, in a restaurant with these prices it is not acceptable for the smell of food to dominate everything and stay on your clothes.
