The truth is I don't understand how this restaurant has these reviews, I read them and you don't need to be a food critic to be left with your mouth open... a very poor menu, with very little variety, some meats, octopus and a fish of the day and everything. They do the same, they accompany it with almost raw, uncooked vegetables and dry, tasteless rice. They serve you very quickly, yes, for that reason I imagine that the vegetables will be uncooked. It seemed expensive to me and I left hungry. I don't recommend at all.
The food is horrible. There were only two meats and two fish to choose from on the entire menu. Everything comes accompanied by roast potatoes, grilled legumes and white rice. The potatoes were undercooked. Hard vegetables. And the rice was not of the moment, it was dry and sticky, it clearly came reheated from midday. We ate the meat because we couldn't conceive of paying to leave it on the plate, but we are Galicians and we understand good meat for a while. I see many reviews that say it is the best meat and the best rice they have ever eaten and I am amazed by the colors!! I don't know what they usually eat for such a review. We went because the owner of the accommodation where we settled for the weekend recommended it to us. They are apartments located in the mountains, in small towns where there are not many restaurants, added to the fact that in Portugal they have dinner super early... It was already too late to move around and find something open, otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. It's a shame we didn't buy something at the supermarket or butcher shop and prepare dinner at the accommodation. We will NOT return. If you want some advice: Expand the menu and don't give reheated food. We paid almost €40 and we were left hungry. And that's really sad.

Not very extensive menu (not suitable for vegetarians/vegans). Large quantity dishes. One of the meats we had was delicious; The fish of the day is also pretty good.Friendly staff

Excellent food combined with super friendly service. Rustic decor. Cachena baked in the oven was wonderful and the desserts were very good too. At least on the weekend, it's a good idea to book.
