Casa Simão is a nice restaurant located by the river. The team is friendly, and the meals are grandiose compositions. The Cod and prawn skewer with monkfish were good, although the prawn was overcooked. The vegetable soups are delicious, and the turbot for two is spectacular. The restaurant is known for its delicious and generous cuisine at a very good value for money. A dish of cod, a dish of dried fish, a sea bream, a glass of wine, and a coffee can come to around €56.50 for three people.
Despite being full and noisy during busy times, the service remains good. For example, one customer enjoyed the kebabs of monkfish with prawns and squid with prawns, giving them a perfect score. Another diner mentioned that the restaurant is typical Portuguese, offering quality dishes at an acceptable price. Casa Simão is highly recommended for a great dining experience, and many who visit Tavira make a point to return.
