I finally managed to reserve a table at O Tonel and went there with my family last night. I told them that I'm vegan, so they had a vegan starter which was actually very good (with avocado, beetroot, corn...). Then I had the vegan tagliatelle as main dish, which were OK, and (although I told them two days in advance) there was no vegan dessert (they told me that it didn't arrive that day. All in all, a good experience! The staff was friendly.

1 star with alas and noise. We didn't even get to eat; we left first. Just waiting for drinks, even though tables came after us, was enough for us. The ambience is chic, but don't let it dazzle you.

My family and I chose this restaurant for its offering of the true flavors of Portuguese cuisine and we really weren't disappointed until dessert time. The dessert chosen by my husband and I was a lemon meringue tart...existing lemon, meringue from poorly cooked egg whites that left us with a gastrointestinal problem for 3 days. We notified the restaurant and were told it was impossible as they had not received any other complaints. Very disappointed ... It's a real shame because a lot of their menu is very good.

Excellent food, excellent service, very attentive and fast, a nice and clean environment from today's perspective (including bathrooms) we took the picanha and the octopus, both very tender and perfectly cooked as were the side dishes, highly recommended. The price is the flagship €47 with water and cover charge. Congratulations to all the staff

Spectacular. The entrecôte was delicious, and the cod en papillote was surprisingly good. It had very very good touches of lime and tamarind. For dessert we ordered the brutal pear cake, with good vanilla ice cream and a small jug of sweet wine reduction to wash down the cake. The details were very careful in everything. It is not as expensive as the two €€ in the info scare you, it is well priced.

We have been coming to Portugal for 20 years and have known this place since it opened. It remains one of our favorite restaurants in Tavira and the surrounding area! Even though we hadn't made a reservation, she still made room for us on a Friday evening! The atmosphere in the street always remains so pleasant for us! The food was once again delicious. We (personally) should have had less (cilantro) in the tuna carpaccio. Furthermore, we found one of the waiters very rushed. But we keep coming back!
