Tasca do Zé André is a favorite spot in Tavira with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly and sympathetic staff. Known for its excellent tapas, including fantastic prosciutto, and refreshing Vinho Verde, the food is consistently delicious. This rustic hidden gem on a side street also serves great seafood, with wedge shells and muxama being a must try. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, providing good treatment at a cheap price. Guests can enjoy simple dishes like bruschetta, tabla mista, and tuna salad, along with a selection of wines and beers. The owner is attentive and caring, often teaching guests a few words of Portuguese. Highly recommended despite the road next to the outside seating.
