It's a "tasca", old school, and the way it is.

Delicious tapas and peculiarly friendly people.
To repeat.
Rustic hidden gem on a side street in Tavira, knowledgeable attentive staff, excellent seafood, great value - wedge shells and muxama a must try! Would happily return every night, best place we ate during our stay.

My girlfriend and I asked for advice on the menu and were tricked into choosing the smoked tuna, the muxama and chorizo assado. Only to find that the smoked tuna was dry and poorly served; the muxama was bitter and probably out of date and the chorizo was not even cut, simple placed in the grill and served in a plate. On top of that, after waiting 30minutes to be served, we were also tricked into ordering more bread only to find that the chorizo came with bread on the plate. I ordered a beer as well, that never came but thankfully we managed to negotiate and take it off the bill. I absolutely do not recommend. Even if you are really hungry, I am sure any other place is best suited than this establishment.

They greeted us with an empty place but told us that everything was reserved.
We had to wait for a free table on the terrace. At no time did any customers come to occupy the tables inside.
The menu is rather poor, but the worst thing is that their specialty is snails but they smelled bad and tasted rotten, we couldn't eat them.
The very delicious coquinas...

Very good product, lack of staff, if you go, go slowly, it will take more than 1 hour to eat

In some country in the world, during dinner time, has someone refused to serve us if we sat at a free table, because they have too much work? It happens here, in the good Algarve, in this tavern. Maybe one day they will run out of customers and start to respect them

Good traditional tapas. The owner is very nice, it's a nice place to have a good time on summer evenings.

Simply fantastic, the service, presentation and quality are above average.
To return for sure.

Arriving there by chance around 9 p.m., we were won over first by this authentic place, then by the quality of the copious tapas! An address to try with your eyes closed!!!

The snails couldn't be better. We also loved the muxama tapa and the cold beers.

I had a gluten free carbonara pasta and it was like eating cardboard. No sauce just pieces of meat and some oily sauce….
