Like being at a pub garden but in the Algarve. Crowd pleasing music at a pleasant volume, we had a nice time.

Visited the Black Anchor on recommendation. Was not disappointed. Great food, excellent service with plenty of table to sit at both outside in the courtyard and at the front over looking the river.
Also treated to the excellent Gary Vesey and his solo musical entertainment. In the words of the Irish he was a good 'craic'.
Can't wait to revisit next time I'm in town

Surprise...an Irish pub with Portuguese staff (friendly) everything alcohol is usually always good, as for the food, surprise again it was interesting (what the English like has little to do with what the Portuguese like) service professional, regular price and good atmosphere....without the background noise (Guiness) usual in a pub...

What a lovely place to set by the Gilao River and have a drink while watching the world go by. The service is great and the staff are really friendly. Prices are reasonable and the food was not bad.

We sat down and all the tables around us were waited on. We had to go and get our own menus and still with the menu on the table we weren't waited on. After waiting for 20 minutes we left to eat somewhere else.

This restaurant is worth a small 4 ⭐️, the service is a little slow and not very well organized, but the meals are quite good, the salads are quite good and the place is pleasant
