I'm glad I listened to the reviews. What a great success!
Super recommended. Kindness of service, exquisite food. Super good quantity and unbeatable quality price!!
We chose fish soup (very good), rice with octopus, grilled cod and stewed meat, everything was incredible, very delicious, you can tell that it is traditional and homemade food!

Sevillian family, 7 members.
We have eaten very well, dishes of great quality and flavor, highly recommended. The staff is charming. We have eaten a variety of dishes, rice with squid, razor clam rice, sardines, salads and sardines, decayed desserts and homemade desserts, we highlight the orange cake, wonderful. We will definitely repeat when we visit Tavira again. Great success

Excellent Portuguese food. As usual the more basic dishes come with chips and rice, the Portuguese double carb hit. If that’s your thing the stewed beef is excellent. The ‘small’ steak comes (as usual) with a fried egg. We also had the swordfish and the monkfish rice. If you want something like paella go for one of their rice dishes - something between a stew and a soup rather than the dry dish you would get with a paella. All dishes were excellent, best meal we’ve had in Portugal. Recommend.

Coming to Zeca da Bica is a must for anyone who knows how to eat well in Tavira. Good service, great outdoor atmosphere and the best sardines, great razor clam rice, wonderful clams. Excellent service from a great team!

We went to eat very close to closing time and we were served by a staff of 10.

We have ordered cod a bras (delicious) and rice with octopus (brutal). For dessert, a lemon cake that was incredibly delicious.

We paid €42 for a water, two beers and coffee. Very well priced.

The only downside was that it was very hot inside the restaurant.

Traditional Portuguese food that has been lost so much in the Algarve full of Indian, Chinese, Italian restaurants... A loss of identity of the places whose main income is tourism from central and northern Europe. The food was correct, we ordered rice with octopus which had a rich flavor but the rice was terribly soggy... all the grains open... a shame. The grilled cod is very good. Still, I prefer a restaurant that shows me the traditional products of the place I visit than others that don't provide anything that I can't eat in my city.

Nothing special, very average/weak service and food. The razor clam rice had almost no razor clams.

Excellent local restaurant, slow-cooked and delicious cuisine! The atmosphere is family. The staff was very helpful and responded to our expectations/questions. The restaurant offers some vegetarian dishes. And finally I highly recommend the orange cake.

The waiters are very friendly, attentive and helpful. They explained to us in Spanish the doubts we had about the letter. The food is very delicious and at a very good price. Although we didn't take a photo, the alfarroba cake was delicious.

Disappointing, expected more after locals recommended this place to us. The three of us went to the restaurant for dinner yesterday and reserved a table for lunch without any problems. When we arrived we were shown to our table and handed the menu, so far so good. The waiter was also friendly and we placed our order. 20 minutes later the starter came, dry bread with a bit of butter and canned olives, well, it's just the starter so you can let it pass. However, it took more than another hour until we got our main courses, without a word from the waiter as to why it was taking so long, the same waiter who forgot the simplest things in gastronomy, like clearing the starter plates and asking us if we wanted ours Want to get drinks refilled. Finally the food finally arrived, octopus that was fried twice to death, almost swimming in oil, with some flabby salad and boring, unseasoned fries. The homemade cod wasn't any better either, endless onions with a bit of fish that was lost in the onion flavor. Understandably we didn't leave a tip and left. As it turned out in the end, the reason for the delay was the long cooking of the cod, you should at least add to the menu that this dish will take longer to prepare. A pity
