The site is quite good but….it is very shameless that you have prices for tourists, of course, more expensive!!
Two coffees with milk 4 euros!!
Delicious cafe in Praça da República, well attended, great service, fair prices. Outside, a beautiful view of the square, Church of São João Batista and City Hall.

Oh my the pizza was delicious ? staff very friendly to us English speaking folk, we shared the different ways we ask for some things and had a laugh when we each tried to replicate eachother? did I mention the delicious Pizza? Nice to sit outside on this beauty day. Nice to use the QR code menu and have things in English or whatever works for you. Nice little square and church to gaze upon while eating. The church bells every 15 min are loud but I enjoy the noise.

I was there for lunch. My meal was a salad, as it was after 3pm. I was very well looked after by the attendant, who was always kind and attentive.

OMG, that experience was SO bad, it's our anecdote for the worst food in Portugal.Imagine a place that looks actually quite nice from the outside. It's a café overlooking the main square in Tomar. You walk in there, sit down in comfy chairs in the back and order some food. And than the waiter arrives with some stuff in his hands and after a moment of horror you realize, this is take away styrofoam packaging. With some of the dullest, and probably nutritionally least satisfying food ever in it. So now you sit in a café and eat some stuff out of styrofoam packaging. I was sort of lucky with a salad, but my wife's veggie burger was simply dreadful. Compared to that, McDonalds is Gourmet food. It's so obvious, those people don't know AND don't care. Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else if you wanna eat something real.
