We went to Tomar for the day and came across these restaurants. Daily rates with dessert between 12.5 and 14 euros. The guy who served us was very friendly. Well prepared food and generous dishes. Delicious desserts. We tried the daily Salmon and Beef Bitoque. We highly recommend it.

I went on 7/8/2023. We had a horrible time. Two friendly people attended to us. One who organized the table for us and the one who took our order. They brought us the wine without glasses. Then....after waiting 15 minutes another person brought us two glasses, which we were lucky were glass....we ordered two soups and a chicken dish and a Portuguese bifanha. The soup took 1 hour. After I insisted because we were hungry... The main course never arrived! After 1:35 we left. It's a normal place that doesn't seem to hire kitchen staff. When we came out, we saw that they had two people in the kitchen. The place has a capacity of at least 100 people. A shame! Forgive her that she is in charge, she should look for another profession.

We went with the aim of experiencing something different in Tomar and we left very disappointed and unwilling to return...VERY slow service, we waited 2 hours for the food and when we criticized the delay (which is our right) they were super unfriendly and arrogant with us.To make the situation even worse, they put us (with 20 other people) in a room with only one window where we could barely breathe.Several customers were dissatisfied with the service and said they would not return.I don't understand why open a restaurant when the number of employees is limited and insufficient to guarantee quality service to all customers.
