It doesn't get more authentically Portuguese. It's not all that efficient at the meter-long counter in the pipe drawer, with a funny triangular dining room on the other side of the place, where you can be amazed at how much even marble wears out under decades of soles near the stairs. Good coffee, reasonable ice cream, good pastries and friendly staff. No one is in a hurry and regular customers will strike up a conversation about literature with you. You have to speak Portuguese.
