It doesn't get more authentically Portuguese. It's not all that efficient at the meter-long counter in the pipe drawer, with a funny triangular dining room on the other side of the place, where you can be amazed at how much even marble wears out under decades of soles near the stairs. Good coffee, reasonable ice cream, good pastries and friendly staff. No one is in a hurry and regular customers will strike up a conversation about literature with you. You have to speak...
Our favourite cafe in Tomar; traditional cafe with pastries and snacks, lots of locals in and the sense it's been quietly doing this very well since it opened in 1960. Recommended :-)
Wheelchair accessibility: NOT accessible inside due to steps; there are outside tables in good weather.

Traditional pastry shop with entrance via two streets.Very good service, with options for indoor and outdoor tables, on the pedestrian street. We tried the Tomar slices and the “beija-me depressa”, which are two typical sweets, as well as the savory ones accompanied by tea and excellent chocolate. The prices are very reasonable.I recommend!
