Without a welcome upon arrival (2:15 pm on Saturday), the employees passed by us without 'calling anything' and even not responding when we tried to approach them. We ended up sitting at a table and had to try again several times until someone served us; We noticed that the reception had been different with a couple who had arrived after us. The waitress's first comment (forcibly) was not particularly nice. Service during lunch was then regular. The food (grilled meat) was good, a very nice dish, but the fact is that the next morning it still tasted like the sauce. However, I would return to the restaurant.

I ate fried horse mackerel with bread... mackerel looked like sardines, but well seasoned. Unfortunately the house makes a lot of echo and makes the environment very noisy.

Lunch at Restaurante O Voluntário in Torres Vedras, next to the Volunteer Fire Department facilities. A large, spacious and well-organized space that serves mainly Traditional Portuguese and Grilled dishes.
I started with Bread, very tasty Olives and Dry Cheese. For main and with a very varied list of Meat and Fish, I opted for the Lagareiro Tuna Loaf which came accompanied by Murro Potato and Vegetables. I finished with a Homemade Orange Pie.
Meal accompanied by 1/2 jug of House White Wine.
The service is efficient, the food is fast and of good quality.
I paid around €20.

Delicious homemade food. I loved the Migas and the biscuit cake and everything else, everything was delicious. We'll be back for Julio's holidays and I hope to be able to eat the migas again.....
