A place with serious management problems or rather absolute lack thereof. Totally overrated and not recommended, neither by me nor by the most frequent of its visitors. It was not worth the detour on my trip from Galicia to Lisbon to get depressed when I just entered and saw the deplorable state in which some animals are kept, particularly the dogs, locked up. It was to get out of there at once, but it had been highly recommended to us and the detour was so big that we kept going. We went to lunch arriving around 1:30 p.m. We stood at the reception, very close to the cashier, waiting for them to give us a table. There was no one else waiting, just my wife and I, but for more than 20 minutes no one approached us to say a word to us even though diners were constantly coming out. Already uncomfortable with the time lost when I made a detour and with the waiting for a table without attention, we decided to order the menu of the day to get out of there quickly. The food was absolutely basic and far from any expectations I could have. The service was slow and even though we warned that it was our first time, there was no empathy on the part of the table staff, many more concerned with setting up the empty tables for dinner than with serving those of us who were there having lunch. When paying, another surprise, expensive price without minimum cost/benefit ratio and when I see the detail of the cash receipt I see things that we did not eat such as soup and salad. I mention the issue to the cashier and she explains that everything is included in the price of the daily menu. I explained that those items were not offered to me and that I was visiting the place for the first time, so I had no way of knowing that I should ask for them. He limited himself to saying that he had the right to everything but that since they were included, they had to be paid whether they ate it or not. Well, why continue there? I paid and left never to return and although I don't usually waste my time with these things, this time I decided it was necessary to tell my terrible experience and write this review.

A beautiful place with care taken in the decoration alluding to the outdoor space (cow farm with live cattle).
My rating is 3 because I ate it and liked what I ate. I was able to catch up with friends. But there is no doubt that there are many things on the outskirts with better price/quality.
I didn't like having a charcuterie board on the table, which cost €15. Very empty and without cheese or large sausages.
We ordered a chunk that was served sliced but it was barely enough for 2 due to the amount of fat. Wine that should be from Alentejo and came from Douro.
In short, great for impressing at the entrance and getting goosebumps at the final bill!

Sempre que fui lá poseram me numa mesa no fundo do restaurante até chegamos a ser dois numa mesa enorme a menina que nos atendeu esqueceu sempre de nós comemos o leitão só no fim veio as baratas depois tivemos um senhor simpático que nos resolveu o problema da segunda vez levei lá a família aconteceu o mesmo mesa do fundo a mesma miúda não volto mais lá tem fama qualidade e atendimento péssimo ?

Family dinner, we ordered picanha and cod from Zé do pipo, the picanha was cold and came with charcoal, the cod with excess mayonnaise and fat. Weak wine list and high prices. I don't recommend
