On the advice of a gastronome, I went to visit Tasquinha do Vitinho in Valado de Frades today. I booked a table and it was reserved. Full house atmosphere, looking for a good meal. Starters: cornbread, alheira and thirst quenching imperial. I went for the famous steak with salad and fries - everything was on point, but the 0-5 sirloin steak takes 6. Excellent. I finished with coffee. Returning in the autumn to get back to steak. Good professionals, good people. * I don't usually comment on the price/meal and I won't do so.

At Tasquinha Do Vitinho, the taste of childhood comes to the fore when we eat the sirloin steak with fries and tomato salad that comes from the backyard. The best prawns cooked with the juice from the spicy heads. Simple!Quality products. Mr. Vitinho has already left but the quality remains with his nephew. Go and make this heartbreaking task

I have been many times in Portugal and never could even tought that the best Grill-restaurant will be found in such a little town, which for 99% of tourists stays unknown and even I decided to stay here only "by accident" as I got injured and couldn't continue my eay to Fatima...I was greeted and let in before the official opening, the owner (such a nice and beautiful women) saw me checking the menu card outside and without waiting for too long, invaded me inside shared her haouse wine - which was just great.I tried for the first time thenpigs guts in oil and surprisingly, it was delicious.For the main dish I have ordered the beef cuts medium rare and it was just taking off - very soft, delicious and enough as a portion.As a side dish I got the mixed Salat which looked colorfully and fresh but.... I HAD A NEED FOR MORE MEET from the chef and I ordered some lahm and belly slices from grill - both met my tastes and were just blowing the mind away.All of it in accompanying of good, blood-looking, semi-dried house wine.I hogly recommend this place and - even if the host doesnt believe - I will visit this place again in the future.5/5 in den every category!
